The Emergency Care of Stroke Patients 2014: Defining the State of the Art and the Science program was
created based on a deeper need for stroke education for the continuum of emergency care providers.
Treatment modalities and best practices are constantly changing and being improved upon in the
treatment of stroke - this program will communicate that information and provide a forum for
discussion and networking. This program will cover the full spectrum of proper treatment of strokes
in both the prehospital and hospital environments.

REFUNDS will only be honored if a cancellation request is made in writing on or prior to November 1, 2014. Registration fees paid will be refunded, less a $50 processing fee.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and identify the registrant’s name, email address, and amount paid. Cancellations after November 1, 2014, are not eligible
for a refund.
If you are unable to attend the program, you may transfer your registration to someone else (e.g. a colleague). Substitutions will be accepted until November 7, 2014, with a
$50 processing fee. The original registrant must submit a request in writing, including the original registrant’s name, email address, and amount paid, as well as the replacement
registrant’s name and email address. All cancellation/substitution requests must be submitted in writing to: [email protected].
Continuing Education Information
The Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center (EMLRC) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The EMLRC designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category
1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAPA accepts certificates of
participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME or a recognized state
medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 7.5 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program. The EMLRC is approved as
a provider of nursing education by the Florida Board of Nursing, Provider #2731. Up to 7.5 nursing contact hours will be provided by the EMLRC. The
following continuing education activity is approved by the Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center, a Continuing Education Coordinating
Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) accredited organization, Provider #EMLRC0003. Activity# 14-EMLRC-F1-0004 is approved for
7.5 hours of advanced continuing education credit. The EMLRC is an approved provider of continuing education credit by the Florida Department of
Health, Bureau of EMS; Provider #50-715. The following course has been approved for 7.5 hours of continuing education credit; Approval Code #20458188.
