AAA Al-Mutawa Group hosts blood drive
in cooperation with Central Blood Bank
A
s part of its strong will to act as a positive
force in the local community, Abdulaziz AlAli Al-Mutawa Group of Companies held a
two-day blood donation drive for its staff in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank on October 1920, 2014.
Employees of all ranks from AAA Al-Mutawa
Group’s various brands - including KIA Motors,
Volvo cars & trucks, Bosch power tools & spare
parts and King Long buses - were allotted time off
to donate blood in the name of boosting Kuwait’s
vital blood reserves.
The Central Blood Bank contributed a highlyprofessional team of doctors, nurses and technicians to facilitate the donation process.
In a statement on the event, AAA Al-Mutawa
Group’s executive management praised the overwhelming response from employees and CBB staff.
The blood donation drive is part of AAA AlMutawa Group’s ongoing social responsibility
efforts aiming to contribute to various humanitarian causes in Kuwait. Moreover, the Group’s executive management affirmed that they will continue
to support Kuwait’s blood reserves due to its critical role in preserving human life.
Kosebasi celebrates opening of Jabriya branch

YMCA Kuwait visits Bishop

MCA Kuwait visited Bishop Thomas K. Oommen (Bishop of the
central Kerala diocese of the Church of South India) who was
in Kuwait for a short visit. YMCA felicitated Bishop Thomas K.
Oommen as he was elected as the Deputy Moderator of Church of
South India at the Church of South India Synod held at Vijayawada
on 11, January 2014. The facilitation ceremony was held at CSI
Parsonage Salmiya. He enquired about the various activities being
performed by YMCA in Kuwait. Members explained him about various activities being carried out by Kuwait YMCA. He pointed out that
CSI Sabha has contributed a lot for the growth of Kerala YMCA and
the origin of YMCA in Kerala is from Anglican Churches. He blessed
the activities of YMCA. Bishop Thomas K. Oommen was the main
speaker of Global Peace Rally conducted by YMCA on February 2013.
The members who attended the facilitation included Mathew
Eapen (Vice President), Parimanam Manoj (General Secretary), Dr A.T.
Varghese, Joseph M.A. & James Varghese Thalachira. All of the above
were felicitated on this occasion.
