Product Discontinuation Notification ST-120 Discontinuation Announcement October 9th, 2014 Dear Mesa Customer, As of July 1, 2015, Mesa Labs is discontinuing production of its SureTorque ST-120 semiautomatic torque tester. It is our intention to accept RMA submissions on this product until July 1, 2024. In order to continue to provide timely service and reduced costs for our customers, this discontinuation is necessary given that this unit relies on outdated technology. As a replacement for the ST-120, we recommend the ST-120S as it is a similar model offering the same capabilities, however it is based on much newer technology and will be serviceable and maintained for many years to come. The discontinued ST-120 has a pneumatically controlled torque drive, LCD screen with membrane keypad and typically 180 degrees rotation range. The replacement model is the ST-120S based on a newer, servo based torque controller, the same strain gage based torque transducer, position and pressure sensors for rotation and gripping pressure monitoring, “unlimited” rotation range and a color touchscreen. The ST-120S has been proven in production facilities and packaging laboratories around the world and it will be serviceable for many more years to come.
