We realize you all lead busy lives and often sacrifice your
own health care to family needs and work demands so we
will expedite your appointment and schedule it at a time
that is convenient for you. Early morning and late afternoon
appointments are available. If you have an urgent gynecologic/
obstetric issue, we will see you on the same day. Your visit
will be in the centrally located Duchossois Center for
Advanced Medicine (DCAM), 5758 S. Maryland Avenue,
and we guarantee you will be in and out in 55 minutes. We are
committed to reduced wait times! You, your teenage daughter
or your spouse will no longer need to take time off work or
school, or wait weeks to see a gynecologist.
At the University of Chicago Medicine, we offer the full
spectrum of general and specialty obstetric and gynecologic
care. As you may know, our team includes leading experts in
menopause, obstetrics, women’s cancer, incontinence, and
in vitro fertilization. Whether you’re 26 or 66, are low risk
or high, need a routine exam, require a gynecologic or baby
ultrasound, or have special issues, the Women’s Health
Friends & Family Program is here to serve you.
Welcome Friends & Family! Come and see us in DCAM 3H.

CONVENIENT APPOINTMENTS
To accommodate your busy schedule, clinical
appointments for gynecologic and obstetric care will
be available on the third floor of DCAM in Suite 3H
on select weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. In an
urgent situation, we encourage you to call Friends
& Family. An obstetrician/gynecologist can help
determine the best course of action for your health.
If the problem is urgent, we will see you on the
same day in our clinic to help you avoid a trip to
the emergency room. If your needs include labs,
ultrasound or a mammogram, we will make every
effort to schedule them at a time adjacent to your
appointment. Your insurance coverage will be verified
upfront to avoid any billing surprises.
PRIVACY
You can be assured that your visit and your medical
records will always be treated with the utmost
confidentiality.
SHORT WAIT TIMES
Your appointment will be completed in 55 minutes,
with minimal time in the waiting room. You will
be guided through your visit quickly and efficiently,
while receiving individualized care and personalized
time with your doctor.
TIMELY FOLLOW-UP
Test results are sent through our new patient portal,
MyChart, followed by a phone call from one of your
care team members. When results are abnormal, your
physician will call you directly and work with you to
create a treatment plan. Whenever you have questions,
you will have ready access to your doctor.
