EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) NON-CONSUMPTIVE UTILISATION MANAGEMENT OF A LODGE SITE AND BOAT STATION AT LAKE NGAMI Profile The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) is a body corporate established through an Act of Parliament with the mandate to: market and promote Botswana’s tourism; grade and classify tourist facilities; and to promote investment in the tourism sector. Botswana Tourism Organisation would like to invite interested Partnerships, Companies, Consortia to Express Interest in the Utilization and Management of a Lodge Site and Boat Station at Lake Ngami. INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST a. The site coordinates are : S20 29.998 E22 49.219 (Decimal Degree) b. The site is currently vacant and undeveloped: c. The lodge and Boat Station site is on the eastern edge of Lake Ngami, within the Okavango Delta Ramsar Site. Lodge Site and Boat station Companies that express interest should provide the following: a) Background of the company/ partnership or consortia. b) Clear demonstration of ability to source, contract or partner with entity which has proven track record and experience in tourism operation management c) Brief outline of proposed ideas for possible developments and activities. On offer will be a lease for Development and Operation of nonconsumptive Tourism activities in the identified area. A management plan has been developed, but it is not exhaustive, and will act as a guide to possible developments and activities. Website: www.citf.co.bw 1. Shortlisted expressions of interest will be expected to participate in a self-funded site visit coordinated by Botswana Tourism Organisation at a date to be communicated. 2. All those shortlisted at the EOI and attended the site visit will be allowed to tender for the development, management and operations of tourist facilities and activities at Lake Ngami and will be expected to pay P1000.00 as tender fee. 3.
