 MIDDLE AGES:

The Guilds regulated various trades – the craftsman was
his own quality inspector and maintained direct relations
with the client
LATE 18TH CENTURY:

The Guilds disappeared, the industrialization age began
with vague or no rules on quality

Fraud became more widespread – and some sort of
