EUROPEAN SHORT-COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 Herzliya, Israel, December 2 - 6 Selection Policy Swimmers may be considered for selection for the European Short-Course Championships 2015 in one of 2 ways: [1] Individual finalists from the 2014 World Short-Course Championships in Doha [or top 10 individual event finishers in the case of non-final events] will be automatically selected providing that they can demonstrate their current fitness in the 3 months leading up to the European Short-Course Championships. [2] In addition the team will be ‘topped up’ by swimmers who hit the short-course time standards detailed below. These qualifying standards are based upon the 12th best times in individual events at the European Short-Course Championships 2013 which were staged in Herning, Denmark. The qualification period for the European Short-Course Championships is from January 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015. All qualifying times must have been swum short-course in an internationally or nationally recognised event during that period. Converted times are not acceptable.
