Against globalisation
Last lesson we looked at groups of
people in favour of globalisation. But,
does it do more harm than good? Lots
of groups are against it! You decide!
There have been protests
1. Watch the following clip. What does it say about
globalisation?
a. Write out a social argument against globalisation.
b. Write out an economic argument against it.
c. Write out an environmental argument against it.
d. Write out some positives about globalisation.
e. Briefly – overall, do you think globalisation is good or
bad. Explain your answer. Write about a paragraph.
2. On the right is Naresh, a
security guard in India. He’s
guarding a building 4000km
away in California! The CCTV
pictures are sent by satellite.
If he sees a problem he can
quickly raise the alarm.
