She was a Program Manager at DSP in DeWitt, Iowa for many years and then transferred to SCI in Clinton. She was honored at a small gathering at SCI on May 28, 2010, by Jack Robinson and her supervisor, Joan Hurla. 3 Steps to Quick Healthy Meals Ann’s Health Tips; Outdoor exercise can be challenging when the temperature soars. Stay safe during hot-weather exercise by drinking enough fluids, wearing proper clothing and timing your workout to avoid extreme heat. Your body’s metabolic rate is determined by the rate energy is burnt during physical activity and the rate at which energy is used during digestion. If you include the right kinds of food in your diet, you can lose weight by increasing the rate at which you body digests food. Recipe of the Month…………. 4 1 2 1 Delicious!!!! STRAWBERRY PIE - Sugar Free cups sliced strawberries ( fresh or frozen, thawed) graham cracker pie crust 4oz packages vanilla cook & serve pudding-sugar free 4oz strawberry jello – sugar free 2 cups of water ½ teaspoon vanilla 1 ½ c Whipped Topping 3 drops red food coloring (optional) Combine dry gelatin, pudding mix and water. Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to boil and thickens, stirring constantly. Add strawberries and vanilla to cooked mixture, pour into pie crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Top with any light whipped topping. Cut into 8 pieces and ENJOY!!! Jo Anna Lund’s CHOCOLATE DESSERT 18 (2 ½”) Chocolate Graham Cracker Squares 1 8oz package fat-free cream cheese 2 cups reduced calorie whipped topping Sugar Substitute to equal ½ cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 4oz packages sugar free chocolate fudge pudding mix 1 ½ cups nonfat dry milk powder 2 ½ cups water Arrange 12 graham crackers in a 9x13” pan. In a large bowl, stir cream cheese with a spoon until soft. Add whipped topping, sugar substitute and vanilla. Mix gently to combine. Carefully spread mixture evenly over graham cracker curst. In a large bowl combine dry pudding mixes, dry milk powder and water. Mix well using wire whisk. Pour pudding mixture evenly over cream cheese layer. Crush remaining 6 graham crackers and evenly sprinkle crumbs over top. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serves 8 157 calories a slice I’ve never tried it, but it sounds good!!
