GRANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.
The grant is offered to MALAYSIAN students ONLY (unless stipulated otherwise).
2.
The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student with Berjaya University College of Hospitality.
3.
The grant is applicable for studies at Berjaya University College of Hospitality only.
4.
The application will be based on the student’s actual results (UEC).
5.
Minimum entry requirement as imposed by respective schools.
6.
Students receiving scholarships/financial assistance/bursaries from other bodies are not eligible for this grant.
7.
The grant awarded is not exchangeable for cash. The grant shall be in the form of tuition fee waiver (unless
stipulated otherwise).
8.
The grant offered is also subject to other terms and conditions, which will be stated in the letter of award to be
signed by the parent/guardian and Berjaya University College of Hospitality. Berjaya University College of
Hospitality reserves the right to request for extra documentation and an interview with the applicant.
9.
The terms and conditions of Berjaya University of Hospitality’s grant may be modified and amended from time
to time as deemed appropriate by the University College.
10. Grant recipients must pass all examinations and maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 every semester, participate
actively in the institution’s sports, extra-curricular and other activities in order to maintain their award.
11. Berjaya University College of Hospitality reserves the right to review the grant awarded. Grant may be
withdrawn in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades as stipulated in the
respective grant award or any breach of the terms and conditions of the letter of award.
12. All applications must be received by the stipulated deadlines. Late applications will not be considered.
13. On all matters pertaining to the grant, the decision(s) of the Scholarship Committee shall be final.
14. Berjaya University College of Hospitality reserves the right to decide on the number of grant to be awarded.
15. The grant is applicable upon single entrance of first programme only.
16. The successful applicant is required to pay all fees due after deduction of the tuition fee waiver upon
registration, failing which the grant award will be considered null and void.
17. Fail to maintain the minimum CGPA, the amount waive will be forfeited until the student improve his/her CGPA
back to the minimum requirement.
18. No appeal will be entertained should the students achieve below the minimum CGPA.
19. In the event the student withdraws from the course before completion, Berjaya University College of Hospitality
requires the student to reimburse the tuition fees waived.
