The Government of Haryana has decided that on the
Day "swachh Haryana swachh Bharat Abhiyan,, wiiloccasion of Haryana
be organized from
1't November,2or4 to 7th November, 2014 in ail the districts
of Haryana in
collaboration with Sociar/ Non Government organizations
with a focus on
cleanliness of slum areas.

undertake the following activities while observing

Urban Local Bodies
Cleaning
organizing Mohalla Sabha where address in this respect may be
delivered by a well known person.
All the Municipalities must procure sufficient number of dustbins, largebins, vehicles, compactors & other accessories for lifting, collection
and
disposal of solid waste.
Dustbins should be placed at public places in sufficient numbers,
so that
people are not required to walk for long distances for disposal
of
ga
rbag e.
Efforts shourd be taken for proper segregation at source.
Garbage should be lifted from all the collection points in proper
manner
and there should be a time-frame for collection a tifting of waste.

Door to doOr collection of solid waste in segregated manner should be
introduced in all the Municipalities and 100% door to door collection
should be achieved by 31't March, 2015.
The efforts should be made to clean water bodies in urban areas and no
sewerage/waste water should be disposed in them.
Vehiclei meant for transportation of solid waste should be covered in all
manners.
All Safai Karamcharies should wear a florescent-Jacket displaying the
name of the concerned Municipality on the back side,
Attendance of all the Safai Karamcharies should be made by bio-matric
attendance system. This should be achieved by 1't December, 2014.
Provision of issuing notices/challans should be enforced strictly to the
persons indulge in littering the waste at public/open spaces/roads'
ihe.e should be a toll-free number in each Municipality for registration
of complaints regarding solid waste and should create a dedicated e-mail
ID for this purpose, Pioper registers of complaints and disposal should
also be maintained.
Awards may be given to the colonies/societies who have achieved 100o/o
cleanliness in their respective colonies/societies in segregated manner'

you are also directed to send an action taken report at the end of the week,
giving detailed information latest by 10.7L.2014 to the undersigned as well
as Director, Urban Local Bodies Haryana.
