students.
UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT
 Sandals are not worn with socks!
 Jandals are not part of the Te Awamutu College uniform!
 Sports shoes with thick laces and silver eyelets are not Te Awamutu College shoes!
 All students are expected to have a bag for school that holds their PE gear, books/folders and
pens etc.
 Te Awamutu College has a cap, hat and beanie as part of its uniform. Stop bringing nonTe Awamutu College caps to school – not even attached to your bag!
Conservation Week
* Waikato Enviroschools will showcase their walkable art in the Our Place Our Future Children's
Parade.
* The parade will start at the Boat Ramp at 10 am, come up Grantham Street, cross onto Victoria Street
and end in Garden Place with a celebratory event at 11 am.
* Students will be joined by FreeLunch stilt walkers, the Sambatrons and Hamilton rock robots 'The
Trons'.

YR 10 - TRADES ACADEMY OPPORTUNITIES – 2015
7 places are available for the Waikato Trades Academy next year.
The Trades available are;
Plumbing and Gasfitting, Construction, Mechanical and Service Sector (Cookery, Beauty and Travel)
Please apply in writing to Mrs Dickson by Monday 10 November – stating your reasons why you wish to
join the Academy.
SPORTS
The HPE Dept have organised duty students that have permission to issue sports
balls between 1.30pm & 1.35pm for use outside at lunchtime, all balls must be
returned at the 2 nd bell.
Basketballs, Netballs, Soccer balls, Rugby balls, Frisbees
For insurance purposes Gear is exchanged for the borrower’s school bag.
Sports gear will be issued & collected in the gym foyer.
