Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our veterans for their service to
our country. Thank you for helping to make our country what it is today! Do
not forget to invite veterans to our Veterans’ Day Assembly on November 11th
at 8:30am.
Also, I would like to congratulate Robert Pedroza on a very successful crosscountry season. He finished 15th in the state cross country Class 1A finals
which were held in Bloomington, Illinois on October 18th. He represented RGS
very well!
Do not forget to support your RPTO by buying scrip. The holidays are coming
up and you can purchase all of your gift cards you will need for your shopping
and gifts from the RPTO. If you are interested in more information about the
scrip program, please contact the school office or Jinny Glas at [email protected].
Parents do not forget to check TeacherEase for your child’s lunch balances. Also, you can check to see your child’s current grades and if they have missing
work. It is a great tool to keep track of your student and their academics.
Together, we can help our school put our students on the fast-track to a successful and prosperous future. Remember Riverview is a Great Place for Our Students!
Sincerely,
Michelle R. Lee

This year we are excited to be partnering with a truly hassle-free fundraiser called SHOPAROO. Nationwide, over 10,000 schools are already earning hundreds and even thousands
through Shoparoo and it’s a great opportunity for us to really make a difference this year.
Shoparoo is fundraising made easy: turn pictures of your everyday shopping receipts into
cash donations and sweepstakes entries for our school with this free app. Yep, it’s that simple. No more cutting labels, selling door to door, or time-consuming coordinating. Just
shop, snap, earn.
Get started today:
1. Download the free Shoparoo app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
2. Select our school from the list and start taking pictures of your receipts - shop anywhere,
buy anything!
3. Earn even more points by spreading the word and inviting others to join
There’s no limit to how much money we can raise with Shoparoo - the more supporters, the
more we will raise for our school. Also, each of our first 20 participants will earn a guaranteed $1 donation from Shoparoo for their first receipt! Check out shoparoo.com to learn
more about it.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you to all of the knights and ladies of the RGS
Kingdom who came to and supported our October Book Fair. We raised over $300 for All For
Books, which Scholastic matches dollar for dollar and comes back to RGS in free books!!
Our next Book Fair’s theme is Under The Sea, coming in February. Thank you all again and
see you Under the Sea!!
