Have a safe and “Spook-ta-cu-lar” Halloween!

Just a reminder that November 2 is the end of Day Light Savings Time. Remember to
set clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Nov. 1st!
2.
With the cooler days approaching, please make sure your child has the appropriate warm
clothing for recess.
3.
Tuesday, November 11, is Veteran’s Day. Students may wear red, white, and blue on this
day. There will be a Veteran’s Day Program, which the community is invited to attend,
beginning at 10:00 in the gym.
4.
In November there will be NO SCHOOL on the following days:
Nov. 14 – Fall Break
Nov. 17 – Staff In-Service
Nov. 27, 28 – Thanksgiving Break

TIP :
“If you please, treats would be neat!” It is traditional at Halloween to say
“Trick or Treat” as children go around in their costumes. Use this time as an opportunity to teach
good manners. Children can say, “If you please, treats would be neat,” as they request treats. When
they receive the goodies, have them say, "Thank you very much." Halloween is a time for fun. It is
also a time to be safe. Watch out for children. Be careful of the goodies they receive. Portion
out the amount of sweets they have so there is some for each day.”
