Naturally strong flooring structure
Tarkett’s more than 120 years experience constitute an exciting industrial history characterised by visionary development. At the beginning of the 1940s we developed and patented a new stable floor system, where the core’s fibres
are bonded perpendicular to the other two. Most Tarkett floors are still produced according to this principle. This
makes cross laminated floors easier to install and maintain, minimising the natural movements of wood and giving
much better stability to the floors. Though material and thickness vary in our different floors the construction principle
remains substantially the same.
Proteco - The unique protection system for wood flooring
Proteco is a complete system of products developed to protect your wood flooring
against wear. When installing wood flooring from Tarkett, it will be prefinished with
either Proteco Lacquer, Proteco Natura or Proteco Hardwax Oil. Your flooring will not
only be beautiful but also extremely wear resistant.
30 years guarantee
The guarantee covers all our 12 to 22 mm Tarkett branded products with Proteco
Lacquer or Proteco Natura against wearing through the wearlayer at normal usage in
a domestic environment for a period of 30 years from the date of purchase, provided
that the product was delivered from 2002. The product must be delivered in Tarkett
branded original packaging, installed, cared and maintained strictly in accordance with
our instructions throughout the guarantee period.
20 years guarantee
The guarantee covers all our 12 to 22 mm Tarkett branded products with Proteco
Hardwax Oil against wearing through the wearlayer at normal usage in a domestic
environment for a period of 20 years from the date of purchase, provided that the
product was delivered from 2010. The product must be delivered in Tarkett branded
original packaging, installed, cared and maintained strictly in accordance with our
instructions throughout the guarantee period.
15 years guarantee
The guarantee covers the lacquered thin veneer products with Proteco Lacquer or
Proteco Natura against wearing through the wearlayer at normal usage in a domestic
environment for a period of 15 years from the date of purchase, provided that the
product was delivered from 2002. The product must be delivered in Tarkett branded
original packaging, installed, cared and maintained strictly in accordance with our
instructions throughout the guarantee period.
Exclusions
This guarantee is valid for domestic installations only and does not cover movements in the floor resulting from incorrect installation methods or induced by moisture. Prior to installation the product must be inspected as Tarkett will not
accept responsibility for visible defects after installation.
The guarantee does not cover damages caused by improper installation, abrasion or extreme heat, moisture colour
or gloss variations, indentation, scratching from animals, cleaning, care or maintenance in a manner contrary to the
instructions provided by Tarkett.
If there is a claim
The claim must be reported to Tarkett, together with proof of purchase (receipt of the purchase) and a photograph
showing the damage within 30 days of its appearance. Tarkett will supply material to replace the damaged area.
Tarkett’s liability shall in no event, however, exceed the actual price paid for the product.
