EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Wira Freighters Limited is part of Wira Group of companies, a conglomerate that has interests in various fields including Wira
Foundation, Wira Consolidation, Wira Supply Chain, Wira Estates and Wira Oil. We are a Mombasa county-based freight
company with an operations office in Nairobi County. The company aims to be one of the largest freight and trucking companies
in Kenya and the entire East & Central Africa region.
Company History
Wira Freighters have been in business for the last 25 years.
We have maintained financial stability during our many years
of operation due to the extensive industry experience of our
management team.
The company has an extensive growth and expansion plan
that aims at placing us on the regional map as one of the
largest freight company. This ambitious plan is set in motion
by our opening of an operational office in Nairobi.
Services
Corporate Social Responsibility
At Wira, we believe in supporting the society within which we
operate. As a CSR initiative, we operate Wira Foundation that
helps needy children in several children homes. We also
intend to partner with Red Cross in providing them with subsidized transportation rates whenever they are transporting
relief aid to various parts of the region.
Similarly, we engage in environmental sustainability efforts.
We fit our trucks with gadgets that help in reducing pollution.

Wira Freighters Ltd is lead by a Chief Executive Officer.
He is the majority shareholder. We also have a Company
Chairman and two non-executive directors that participate in
decision-making processes.
Wira offers both for-hire trucking as well as private carriers.
Most of our business is derived from the private carriers. For
the private carrier segment, both truck load (TL) and less than
truck load (LTL) services are offered. Our trucking services
are especially attractive to companies and individuals who
transport cargo from the port of Mombasa to major towns in
Kenya and the entire East & Central African Region.
Below him we have a dedicated and vibrant team of professionals tasked with giving world class services to our clientele
as well as transform our organization to greater heights.
Other than increasing the number of our trucks, we are also in
the process of acquiring train wagons that can be hired by
customers to utilize the railway career system.
We also do clearing services for our clients at the port of
Mombasa. These are coupled by courier and provision of
logistics to move cargo to their various destinations.

CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
He is a core member of the management team. He plays the
following key roles:
Financial and Budget Control- He deals with the control and
protection of the organization’s money and other assets. He is
in-charge of drawing up the firm’s budget, monitoring its implementation and evaluating if the desired results are achieved. He
also safeguards capital investments and inventory.
Preparing reports and financial statements- He is in-charge
of preparing all finance-related reports both for internal and
external use. The reports must capture all data since they are
used for audit purposes to assess the financial position of the
organization.
Operational financial management- He controls the use of
company monies to the last cent during the day to day running
of the firm. He manages cash flow and oversees financial transactions with vendors and clients, and resolves any related
financial issues.
Profit planning- He does the profit projections and strives to
ensure that the set targets are achieved within the stipulated
timelines. He also reports profits and losses

Wira Freighters will employ a Direct Marketing approach to raise awareness about the company and generate new customers.

Online marketing: In line with appreciating the ever changing world of technology, we have set up a company website. This is a
one-stop shop for any information needed about our company, services and products. Our clients are able to directly interact
with us through this platform.
Similarly, we have very active twitter and face book pages to ease communication between ourselves and our esteemed
clients. From these pages, you are able to get frequent information concerning our pricing, new services as well as
promptly responding to your queries.
Use of promotions: This will focus on press releases and advertising using various different media.

MARKET SEGMENTATION
There are several potential customer segments that we are targeting. Major customer segments include high-volume retailers,
government departments, Non-Governmental Organizations and individual clients. Large established companies in many industries have their own truck fleets, while smaller players outsource the transportation function. The latter vary in the scale of their
operations, but have a steady demand for reliable transportation solutions. We will actively solicit such customers.
TARGET MARKET SEGMENT STRATEGY
Our major customer segments the company is focusing on include, but not limited to:

Kenya is home to one of the biggest refugee camps in the world. Many areas around the country also need relief support from
time to time. We are targeting this opportunity to partner with Non-Governmental Organizations like the Red Cross and UN agencies among others in provision of logistical services.
