Thank You!
Thank you! Thank you for all the cards,

This year our annual Thanksgiving meal
is being held on Saturday Night after
Thanksgiving in conjunction with a New

that the beauty of trees is best felt at night
and we wanted to include the importance
of “greens” in the Advent Celebration.
Please mark your calendars to attend
starting with Thanksgiving dinner at 5:30
pm.
When I first came here I heard of a story of
one of our members coming to church
everyday to raise a flag and came back
each night to take it down. It was his way
of reminding himself, and our members,
that it was a privilege to live in a country
that allowed him to worship at this church
his way. As we approach Veterans’ Day
and we are reminded of all our members,
past and present, that gave so much that
you and I might enjoy that same freedom,
I’m proud to say that an American flag flies
again on our grounds.
I hope you will look at our calendar and
make plans to attend some of the
wonderful events plan for the upcoming
season. This is a very loving church and
the fellowship is so sweet. Make plans to
be with us!
On the Journey Together!

I have been reading “Seven Words of Worship - The Key to a Lifetime
of Experiencing God,” by Mike Harland and Stan Mosser. I want to
share these seven words with you. They are an integral part in the
process of creating a lifetime of experiencing God. This summary
statement, with the seven words in bold, should be our blueprint, our
plan for our path to experiencing God in our worship.

“Each of us was created by God for relationship with Him, but we can
only enjoy that relationship by God’s grace. God’s great love for us, demonstrated in Christ

experience God in worship!”
Remember that we were each created to be worshippers of God, and it is because of His
great sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ that we are free to boldly approach His throne,
expecting and receiving a loving encounter with our God and King.
As we move into the season of Thanksgiving, be ever mindful of all that God has provided
us. Why, then, would we not willingly and oh, so JOYFULLY give him all our heart, mind
and soul in worship to Him?

Use an empty shoe box (standard size, please) or a small plastic container. You
can wrap the box (lid separately), but wrapping is not required. Most
importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift.
Determine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the child’s age
category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Mark the correct age category on the label, and
tape the label to the top of your box. Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will
bring delight to a child.
Please donate $7 or more for each shoe box you prepare to help cover shipping
and other project costs. You can write a check to Samaritan’s Purse (note
“OCC” on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside
your box. If you or your family are preparing more than one shoe box, please
make one combined donation. Place a rubber band around each closed shoe
box and bring it to church on Sunday, November 9th. Our goal is to collect 100
shoeboxes.
December Poinsettias
During the month of December, we will be decorating our
sanctuary with poinsettias. Colors available are Red and White.
Order forms will be available in the museum area beginning
November 9th. Order forms will need to be turned in to Tina
Lynn, Shannon Carter, Terri Baca or the church office by November 23rd. The
cost is $10 per poinsettia.
From the Mailbox:
The family of Wanda K. Loving would like to express their sincere
thanks to all of you for the cards, visits, phone calls and prayers
we received following our sudden loss. Your kindness and
support has helped us cope at this sad and difficult time. Also we thank each of
you who made a memorial contribution in Wanda's name. It was so much
appreciated. A special thanks to Pastor Gary for all his concern and dedication
to the family and for conducting her service. We will never forget your
kindness and we pray the Lord will bless and keep you all in his care
The Loving Family
Not a typical thank you card; but I couldn’t resist. Artie would have
loved it and yes, this too shall pass. The hurt will mostly go away
and we will be left with our memories. Thank you members of
Bethel. You have rallied around me and provided much needed
support. It would be impossible for me to thank each and
everyone of you. Thank you for the cards, donations, help, and
most of all, thank you for love. We all miss Artie (Bernard) and
will, but we have glorious memories of his work spreading the
Gospel of Jesus Christ whom he loved with all his heat.
Thank you again, Virginia & Roxanne
Pastor Gary Limbrick & Bethel Baptist Church,
Thank you so much for the prayers, flowers, love and concern shown to me
during my recent heart surgery. God bless you and your ministry. Pastor
Limbrick’s visit meant so much to us all.
Love to all, Pat Shelton
P.S. I am fleeing stronger each day.

Schedule Change
KidzPraz has moved to Sunday mornings during children’s church. This is an effort to involve
more children, and introduce them to KP. Our hope is that we will gain enough interest and parental
support to move the program back to a timeslot of it’s own after the first of the year. The children
will be learning songs and drama to be included in the “Christmas Community Celebration” on
Saturday, December 13.
