Maximum Students: Tech I & II – 250, Tech III - 50
In order to receive EMS CE credit, student must achieve a grade of 70 on the written or oral EMS exam that
covers all objectives taught in the course.

Cancellation/Refund/No Show Policy:
Katy Area Rescue School (KARS) will provide a refund to a student/department should they cancel a minimum of 7 days
prior to the class by contacting KARS to advise of the cancellation. A letter from the department requesting a refund
must be submitted to KARS and a $10.00 SERVICE FEE will be subtracted from the class refund. Registered students
who do not contact KARS in advance to cancel their registration and who do not attend class (no shows) will not be
eligible for a refund.

the latest training in firefighting and related skills.

*PPE - Participants must bring their own NFPA or OSHA approved protective equipment to include the minimum of a firefighter’s helmet
with chin strap, shield & protective safety glasses and earflaps, a short bunker coat with moisture barrier, bunker pants, boots, and
gloves. Students may wear extrication jumpsuits so long as they are NFPA approved and coded: Beards or long sideburns in the face
piece seal area are prohibited.
