Charles Schwab Cup: This will be the final event in the 2014 Charles Schwab Cup race.
The winner will be crowned at the Charles Schwab Cup
Championship. The Charles Schwab Cup offers $2.1 million in
annuity bonus money to the top-five finishers at season's end. Points
are awarded weekly to the top-ten finishers and ties in official money
events. The winner will be awarded a $1 million annuity and the
second-through fifth-place finishers $500,000, $300,000, $200,000
and $100,000 annuities. Allen Doyle won the inaugural competition in
2001, Hale Irwin won in 2002 and 2004, Tom Watson won in 2003
and 2005, Jay Haas won in 2006 and 2008, while Loren Roberts
captured the 2007 Cup and the 2009 Cup. Bernhard Langer won in
2010 and Tom Lehman was the first player to win the Cup in
consecutive years – 2011 and 2012. Kenny Perry is the reigning Cup
champion.

History:
The event was first played in 1990 at Hyatt Dorado Beach (East) in
Dorado, Puerto Rico before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1994 for
seven playings, six at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club and one at the
TPC Myrtle Beach. This event featured golfing legends like Lee
Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Arnold
Palmer. It was played at the Gaillardia Golf and Country Club in
Oklahoma City, OK in 2001 and 2002. From 2003 - 2009, it was
played at the beautiful Sonoma Golf Club in Sonoma, CA. The event
boasted an illustrious list of past champions, including Raymond
Floyd, Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, Jim Thorpe and 2009 winner John
Cook. The Championship was held at TPC Harding Park in San
Francisco from 2010-11 and marked its first year at Desert Mountain
Club in 2012 before returning to TPC Harding Park in 2013. Desert
Mountain Club again hosts in 2014 and will do so through 2016.

Underscoring the PGA TOUR’s “Together, anything’s possible”
charitable mission, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship will serve
as an important vehicle for raising funds for a variety of non-profit
organizations throughout the region.
