Gold Duke of Edinburgh award

Gold Duke of Edinburgh award
Elise Jansen
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award is a programme of activities that can be undertaken
by anyone aged 14-25 and can take between one to four years to complete. The three levels
are Bronze, Silver and Gold. Students must learn a new skill, do physical recreation and
serve some charity or organisation in our society for a specific amount of time. In addition,
students do two 4-day tramps. To receive a Gold Award is an incredible achievement as it
shows commitment, perseverance, great organisational skills and dedication. It gives me
great pleasure to announce that Elise Janssen has completed the Gold Award this year.
