------------We would like to invite you to attend the 12th International Symposium on Biocontrol and
Biotechnology which will be held at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang,
Prince of Chumphon Campus, Chumphon Province, Thailand during December 11-13, 2014.
This international symposium which runs continuously every year will be a forum for scientists
and researchers from different countries to share their views and discuss on their advanced
research work in these areas.
The intention of organizing the International Symposium on Biocontrol and
Biotechnology was established when the 1st symposium was held in Harbin Institute of
Technology, P.R. China in 2002. Since then the 2nd and 3rd symposia were organized by King
Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand and Huazhong
Agricultural University, Wuhan, P.R. China, in 2004 and 2005, respectively. The 4th
International Symposium was held by Lady Doak College, Madurai, India in 2006. The 5th
International Symposium was organized by King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang
together with Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai Campus, Thailand in 2007. The 6th International
Symposium was co-organized by Central Luzon State University, Philippines, Harbin Institute of

Technology and KMITL in 2008. The 7th and 10th International Symposia were organized by
Harbin Institute of Technology, P.R. China in 2009 and 2012. The 8th International Symposium
was organized by KMITL, Thailand in 2010. The 9th International Symposium was organized by
the Institute of Tropical Biology Technology of Chinese Academy Tropical Sciences, Hainan
University, State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology and National Engineering
Research Center of Microbial Pesticides, P.R. China in 2011. The 11th International Symposium
was co-organized by Alexandria University, Biblotheca Alexandrina and Egyptian Development
& Technology Transfer Association, Egypt, Harbin Institute of Technology, P.R. China and
King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand in 2013.
The purpose and continuation of this symposium is to provide an opportunity for
researchers and scientists in the fields of Biocontrol and Biotechnology to interact and promote
research on both theory and practice of Biocontrol and Biotechnology.

Call for paper:
Prospective authors of oral and poster presentations are invited to submit abstracts and full
papers in English for consideration before October 1, 2014 and October 31, 2014, respectively.
Abstracts of less than 250 words should be submitted by electronic mail. Full papers should be
submitted by electronic mail. Please use the format as specified in the KMITL Science and
Technology Journal (http://stj.kmitl.ac.th).
Publication:
Submission of full paper will be reviewed by peer reviewers. The acceptance of full paper will
be published in proceeding. Selected full paper reviewed by Academic Committees will be
published in KMITL Science and Technology Journal.
