I、Applicants’ Eligibility （申請者資格）
1. International students are those who are NOT with Republic of China nationality (according to Article 2 of
Nationality Act of R.O.C.) and those who do NOT meet the following conditions：
外國學生係指不具中華民國國籍（依據中華民國國籍法第二條規定）且不具下列各情形者：
(1) He/She possesses overseas Chinese student status or has ever applied / studied in R.O.C. as an
overseas Chinese student.
具有僑生身份，或曾以僑生身份在臺申請入學或就學者。
(2) He/She has applied and obtained a high school diploma as an international student in R.O.C. and
would like to pursue a further degree.
曾以外國學生身分申請並取得高中學位，並希望繼續在臺申請就讀大學者。
(3) He/She has been expelled by a university or college in R.O.C.
曾被國內大專校院退學者。
(4) He/She holds nationality of Hong Kong or Macau or People's Republic of China.
具有香港或澳門或中華人民共和國國籍者。
(5) He/She held R.O.C. nationality and renounced it for less than 8 years（till the date on which the school
begins）.
曾具有中華民國國籍，且至本校開學日止，經內政部放棄國籍許可未達 8 年者。
Violation of rules mentioned above found and proved will have the application rescinded and enrolled status
cancelled immediately.
倘違反上述規定並經查證屬實者，本校將撤銷入學資格並開除學籍。
2. International students with high school diplomas are eligible to apply for undergraduate studies at NTOU.
外國學生具高中畢業資格者，可提出本校學士學位班之入學申請。
3. International students with Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for master’s programs at NTOU.
外國學生具學士學位者，可提出本校碩士學位班之入學申請。
4. International students with Master’s degree are eligible to apply for Ph.D. programs at NTOU.
外國學生具碩士學位者，可提出本校博士學位班之入學申請。

Download and fill in the application form and other required forms.

Print out the application form and required forms.
Prepare all required documents.
1. An NTOU admission application form

3. Deposition
4. A research/ study plan (in Chinese or English)
5. An authenticated photocopy of graduation certificate

8. A financial statement (or a scholarship award certificate)

10. A checklist
Mail the complete application pack to the Division of International
cooperation. The pack must be received before April 30th, 2013.
Application evaluation process begins.
Applicants will be informed if an interview is required.
Application results announced.
Admission letters / Conditional Admission letters
and Admission Certificate mailed.

1. Fall Semester Application documents must be received before April 30th, 2014. Spring Semester
Application documents must be received before October 31st, 2014. Please also login the admission website

2. Applicants who would like to apply for NTOU Scholarship must submit NTOU scholarship application
form and certificates of extra-curricular activities (if any), to the Office of International Affairs when
applying for admission.
欲申請本校外國學生獎學金之申請者，須於申請入學時將獎學金申請表及其他有助申請之文件一併
提交至本校國際事務處。
3. The following certificates may help in the evaluation of the application but not required (except for the
situation that the Departments/the Institutes requiring that applicants must submit the certificates)：

7. Applicants will be informed of the admission application result by email in June(Fall semester) and

8. Fall semester begins in the mid of September for all admitted applicants. Spring semester begins in the
mid of February for all admitted applicants.
本校秋季班於九月中旬開學。春季班於次年二月中旬開學。
9. Upon registration, new students must submit the original degree diploma and a proof of insurance which
includes both medical and accidental, for a 4 month period starting from the date of the arrival.
註冊時，新生應檢附畢業證書正本及於入境日起算至少 4 個月效期之醫療與意外保險證明。
10. NTOU International students should submit dormitory application form after agreeing to attend the fall
Semester in the early August (Fall Semester) and Mid-January(Spring Semester).
本校外國學生同意入學後須於八月初(秋季班)與一月中(春季班)繳交住宿申請表。
11. According to the regulation of MOFA Vietnam Students must grant valid English certificate (TOFEL
TOEIC or IELTS) or Chinese certificate (TOCFL) for applying student VISA.

2. Education Goal
MMD focuses on education, practical training and
academic research. It not only continuously improves
the quality of education, but also upgrades the facilities
in each laboratory. In addition, MMD obtains research
projects actively from National Science Council,
Ministry of Transportation and Communications,
Ministry of Education and Harbor Bureau; hosts
industrial lectures; joins and holds academic
conferences, establishing close links with the shipping
industry and government officials.

Management is devoted to educating and training
students ready for the shipping industry. Marine-related
industries have been playing important roles in
international trade across the country.
2. The major aim of our Department is to educate our
students among areas of marine shipping, global
logistics, air transportation, cargo management, in hopes

Major research areas have been focused on food
chemistry, food processing, biotechnology, food
microbiology, nutrition and food engineering. Faculty
members conduct their research in well-equipped

2. Research Features
The IMB raises the level of marine biology expertise in
Taiwan and promotes development in the field of marine
biology. We have continuously focused on developing
and maintaining a strong base in systematics and

1. The Institute offers a regular graduate program leading
to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
in applied economics. This is a 40-credit program with
25 elective and 15 required credits (cr.), consisting of
seminars for 3 cr.; Thesis for 6 cr.; Microeconomics for
3 cr.; and Econometrics for 3 cr. For overseas students,
the Ministry of Education requires a pre-entrance
Chinese proficiency examination.
2. The required language of the thesis is Chinese. The
program is typically completed in two years. Applicant
for the special on-job training program on marine and
aquaculture affair management are required to have at
least two years of experience in related activities.
3. The degree program is industry-oriented aiming at
producing graduates with professional expertise in
management of industrial and fishery enterprises. The
program is also research oriented with an emphasis in
training graduate students to conduct independent
economic research addressing industrial and fishery
issues. It provides excellent preparation for students
seeking advanced studies in other Ph. D. programs or
professional careers in the private and public sectors. In
addition to coursework, the Institute trains students
through research assignments, seminars, field trips, and
discussion opportunities.

檢查項目
不合格之認定原則
人類免疫缺乏病一、人類免疫缺乏病毒抗體檢驗經初步測試，連續二次呈陽性反應者，應以西方墨點法(WB)作確認試驗。
毒抗體檢查
二、連續二次(採血時間需間隔三個月)西方墨點法結果皆為未確定者，視為合格。
胸部Ｘ光檢查
一、活動性肺結核(包括結核性肋膜炎)視為「不合格」。
二、非活動性肺結核視為「合格」，包括下列診斷情形：纖維化(鈣化)肺結核、纖維化(鈣化)病灶及肋膜
增厚。
腸內寄生蟲糞便一、經顯微鏡檢查結果為腸道蠕蟲蟲卵或其他原蟲類如：痢疾阿米巴原蟲（Entamoeba histolytica）、鞭
檢查
毛原蟲類，纖毛原蟲類及孢子蟲類者為不合格。
二、經顯微鏡檢查結果為人芽囊原蟲及阿米巴原蟲類，如：哈氏阿米巴（Entamoeba hartmanni）、大腸
阿米巴（Entamoeba coli）、微小阿米巴（Endolimax nana）、嗜碘阿米巴（Iodamoeba butschlii）、
雙核阿米巴（Dientamoeba fragilis）等，可不予治療，視為「合格」。
三、妊娠孕婦如為寄生蟲檢查陽性者，視為合格；請於分娩後，進行治療。
梅毒血清檢查
一、以 RPR 或 VDRL 其中一種加上 TPHA(TPPA)之檢驗，如檢驗結果有下列情形任一者，為「不合格」：
（一）活性梅毒：同時符合條件（一）及（二）、或僅符合條件（三）者。
（二）非活性梅毒：僅符合條件（二）者。
二、條件：
（一）臨床症狀出現硬下疳或全身性梅毒紅疹等臨床症狀。
（二）未曾接受梅毒治療或病史不清楚者，RPR(+)或 VDRL(+)，且 TPHA (TPPA)=1：320 以上（含
320）。
（三）曾經接受梅毒治療者，VDRL 價數上升四倍。
三、梅毒血清檢查陽性者，檢具治療證明，視為合格。

麻疹、德國麻疹麻疹、德國麻疹抗體陰性且未檢具麻疹、德國麻疹預防接種證明者為不合格。但經醫師評估有麻疹、德
國麻疹疫苗接種禁忌者，視為合格。
Appendix: Principles in determining the health status failed
Test Item
Principles on the determination of failed items
Serological Test 1. If the preliminary testing of the serological test for HIV antibody is positive for two consecutive times,
confirmation testing by WB is required.
for HIV
2. When findings of two consecutive WB testing (blood specimens collected at an interval of three months) are
Antibody
indeterminate, this item is considered qualified.
1. Active pulmonary tuberculosis (including tuberculous pleurisy) is unqualified.
Chest X-ray
2. Non-active pulmonary tuberculosis including calcified pulmonary tuberculosis, calcified foci and
enlargement of pleura, is considered qualified.
1. By microscope examination, cases are determined unqualified if intestinal helminthes eggs or other protozoa
Stool
Examination for such as Entamoeba histolytica, flagellates, ciliates and sporozoans are detected.
2. Blastocystis hominis and Amoeba protozoa such as Entamoeba hartmanni, Entaboeba coli, Endolimax nana,
Parasites
Iodamoeba butschlii, Dientamoeba fragilis found through microscope examination are considered qualified
and no treatment is required.
3. Pregnant women who have positive result for parasites examination are considered qualified and
please have medical treatment after delivery.
Serological Test 1. After testing by either RPR or VDRL together with TPHA(TPPA), if cases meet one of the following
situations are considered failing the examination.
for Syphilis
(1)Active syphilis: must fit the criterion (1) + (2) or only the criterion (3).
(2)Inactive syphilis: only fit the criterion (2).
2. Criterion:
(1)Clinical symptoms with genital ulcers (chancres) or syphilis rash all over the body.
(2)No past diagnosis of syphilis, a reactive nontreponemal test (i.e., VDRL or RPR), and TPHA(TPPA)＝
1：320↑(including 1：320)
(3)A past history of syphilis therapy and a current nontreponemal test titer demonstrating fourfold or greater
increase from the last nontreponemal test titer.
3. Those that have failed the serological test for syphilis but have submitted a medical treatment
certificate are considered passing the examination.
Measles, Rubella The item is considered unqualified if measles or rubella antibody is negative and no measles, rubella
vaccination certificate is provided. Those who having contraindications, not suitable for vaccinations are
considered qualified.
