Dear Parents of the Class of 2016,
On behalf of the Junior Class and the Junior Parents Weekend 2015 Committee, we would like to
cordially invite you to join us in celebrating the 63rd annual Junior Parents Weekend at the University of Notre
Dame. The weekend will commence on the evening of Friday, February 20th, 2015 and will conclude on
Sunday, February 22nd, 2015. Below you will find a general overview of the main events for the weekend:

Junior Parents Weekend is a special tradition here at Notre Dame. It focuses on the Notre Dame family,
enabling you to become part of the academic, spiritual, social, and residential life of the University. It provides
you with the chance to learn more about the people and places that comprise your son or daughter’s
home-away-from-home. Included in this mailing is a general itinerary for the weekend and information on how
to apply for tickets to the Gala, Dinner, and Brunch. Each family is allowed a maximum of three tickets per
event, including the student. Please choose one of the two options below when submitting your ticket
application.
1. For credit card purchases, you may submit an online ticket application through the JPW website:
http://jpw.nd.edu.
2. To pay by check or money order, you may submit the enclosed paper ticket application.
Please submit your application with payment as soon as possible, but no later than Monday,
December 1st, 2014. Late applicants will be charged a late ticket purchase fee. The application is for your entire
party--please include your son/daughter in your ticket order.
If you have not yet made travel arrangements for this event, we invite you to contact Anthony Travel at
1-800-366-3772, or the South Bend/Mishawaka Convention and Visitors Bureau at 1-800-519-0577. We will
also hold a lottery for rooms at the Morris Inn, with the drawing to take place in early November. Each winner
of the lottery is guaranteed a room at the Morris Inn for the nights of Friday, February 20th and Saturday,
February 21st. Winning families are responsible for all payments to the Morris Inn. Please call the Morris Inn at
1-800-280-7256 or register via the website http://tiny.cc/JPW2015MorrisInn by October 31st, 2014 if you wish
to enter the lottery.

General Itinerary
Friday, February 20th
Saturday, February 21st (continued)

Recommended Dress: Semi-Formal
Opening Gala
Events begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday with the Opening
Gala, held in the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center and
Joyce Center Fieldhouse. The celebration will include
music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert. Tickets are
required.
Saturday, February 21st
Collegiate Workshops
Saturday begins with Collegiate Workshops hosted by each
of the four colleges: the College of Arts and Letters, the
College of Engineering, the College of Science, and the
Mendoza College of Business. These workshops will offer
parents the opportunity to learn more about their son or
daughter’s academic life here at Notre Dame.
Hall Luncheons
Each residence hall will host a Hall Luncheon on
Saturday. During this time, parents can meet and socialize
with their son or daughter’s hall staff and dormmates. All
off-campus students and their parents are invited to return
to their former dorm to partake in the luncheon.
JPW Mass
On Saturday at 5:30 p.m. all families are invited to
attend JPW Mass in the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce
Center. University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.
will be the celebrant for this special occasion.
President’s Dinner
All are cordially invited to the President’s Dinner in the
Joyce Center Fieldhouse immediately following the JPW
Mass. The evening will include live entertainment and
addresses by Junior Class President Zach Waterson and
University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C. Tickets
are required.
Sunday, February 22nd
Closing Brunch
Recommended Dress: Business Casual
JPW concludes with the Closing Brunch in the Joyce Center
Fieldhouse on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The morning’s
program will feature an address by a special guest speaker.
To accommodate travel schedules, the brunch will conclude
by 11:30 a.m. Tickets are required.
JPW Hospitality Room
Sorin Room, LaFortune Student Center
The JPW Hospitality Room will be available throughout
the weekend for your convenience. In addition to these
events planned by the JPW committee, other University
departments and student groups will host supplemental
events and receptions throughout the weekend. A complete
itinerary will be provided with all ticket packets.

Tickets and Seating
To register for JPW, either complete and return the enclosed ticket application, or submit an online ticket application at
http://jpw.nd.edu. Submit your application by Monday, December 1st, 2014. Ticket applications submitted after this
date will be charged a late application fee.
Seating for the President’s Dinner and Closing Brunch is determined through a separate registration process. Your son or
daughter will select up to two other families to join you at your table for these events. Each table seats a maximum of
nine. Seating registration will be held the week of January 11th. Further information regarding seating registration will
be sent via email to your son or daughter during the week of January 4th. Students will not be able to participate in
seating registration unless their entire table group has registrered and purchased tickets.
From Tuesday, February 17th through Thursday, February 19th, your registered son or daughter will pick up a packet of
information regarding JPW, including a detailed schedule of events and any tickets you have purchased. Any problems
will be handled at that time. Tickets will also be available for pick-up beginning on Friday, February 20th in the JPW
Hospitality Room in the Sorin Room located at LaFortune Student Center.
