Press Release – Lewis Cocksedge win recognised In the recent BFP business awards Lewis Cocksedge, an apprentice at the malting and malted Ingredients Company Muntons, took the honours in the Apprentice Trainee of the year category, sponsored by WS Training. TV presenter Penny Smith presented the award at the black tie awards ceremony held in the Apex, Bury St. Edmunds on the 10th October. In recognition of the achievement Alan Ridealgh Managing Director of Muntons presented Lewis with a cheque from the company as a token of appreciation for winning the award. Alan said “This is a real testament to Lewis’s work ethic and I am pleased that this was recognised by the judges. Lewis just gets on with the job and his positive attitude to work is appreciated by all of his colleagues. Well done.” The award recognised the diversity and entrepreneurial talent from people employed within businesses around the Bury St Edmunds region. Lewis is employed as an engineering apprentice at Muntons, based in Stowmarket Suffolk. Upon hearing the announcement that he had won the award, Lewis commented “It’s amazing, I never set out to impress anyone, I just get on and do as I am asked. It was wonderful to be recognised in this way” Andy Clark, Muntons Site Engineering Manager, said “To me, this is clear recognition of Lewis’ interest and passion in engineering, something that Lewis demonstrated even before he joined the company.
