ost Blessed Sacrament Parish is a welcoming community which comes together to implement Christ’s mission. We join to teach,
to evangelize, to accept and to encourage ourselves and others in ongoing spiritual growth. Serving and supporting those within
and beyond our parish remains a major focus as we recognize that each of us is called to be a witness to God’s love in our world.

IMPORTANT PEOPLE
Every pastor will acknowledge the fact that no parish could possibly survive for very long without the many good people who devote their
time and talent to the community. We have many and are grateful.

Counsel baby bottles. Please place the bottles
in the bassinette located in the back of the
church. If you have misplaced your bottle or would like to
give an approximate gift of the amount, please make a
credit card donation via Good Counsel’s secure website

to Good Counsel, PO Box 6068, Hoboken, NJ 07030.
God bless you!
On behalf of Jesus, we are inviting you to join us for
Eucharistic Adoration in our Parish. Although we
invite you to drop in whenever you can and for as
long as you are able, we really need adorers to sign
up and commit to a specific hour each Saturday.
We are trying to get a minimum of 2 committed
adorers per hour, so that if you are ever unable to
make a Saturday during your committed hour, your partner can
cover the hour for you. Please call Rose Stone at 201-6770761 if you can commit to “watch one hour with Me”, as Jesus
asked His disciples to do in the Garden of Gethsemane. Even
if you are able to commit to a specific 30 minute time slot each
Saturday, please give us a call. You will be greatly blessed.

Our Annual Mass of Remembrance
Tuesday, November 4th at 7:00 pm
All are invited on Tuesday, November 4th to pray for our deceased family and friends. This is a beautiful
way to remember your loved ones. The Church
in its wisdom celebrates this Feast each year to
celebrate our deceased.
World Mission Sunday
Thank you for your generous response to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith on World Mission
Sunday.
Our parish raised
$4,914.00—generous help that will
reach the Church in Mongolia and local churches throughout the Missions, where the poor receive practical help
and the experience of God’s love and mercy, His hope
and peace.
For more information, please visit

Church Cleaning Crew
Needs Help
Our Parish has been blessed with many
faith-filled and giving parishioners. A few
years ago, a number of women
volunteered to clean the Church on a
weekly basis in order to give of their time and talents
and help save the Parish the cost of a cleaning service.
They now need additional volunteers. Anyone
interested in helping out in this ministry should call Peg
Ficca at 201-848-8072 or the Parish Center at 201-8914200. The more people involved, the easier the work
will be. Thank you ladies for your Christian kindness
and generosity! It is much appreciated.
We as a parish can help keep our Church clean and
ease their job by making sure all tissues, papers and
food products are removed from the pews at the end of
each Mass. Thank you for your help.
Eucharistic Adoration
First Friday, November 7th

RCIA
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Annual Trunk or Treat event! We love seeing
more and more families each year! We couldn't do it without your participation. Thank you for the fun and spirit
you all brought to the event! Everyone’s costumes were
wonderful! Just a reminder that we're back to our regular
Sunday night meetings from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Youth
Room in the basement of the Parish Center. If you haven't joined us yet, come by on Sunday night and see what
we're all about. This year is flying by already and we
have so many more fun things planned. No need to register to stop by and have fun. Any teen in any high school
is welcome to join us! We can't wait to see you
there. Questions? Contact our Youth Minister, Jen Fox
at [email protected].
The community of Most Blessed Sacrament
invites all to a deeper love of Jesus and to a
fullness of communion with the Church.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
(RCIA) is a process where adults are
welcomed into the Catholic Church.
Do you know someone who is thinking about becoming
part of the Catholic Church? Are you the non-Catholic
spouse of a parishioner who is wondering about full
communion with the Church? Are you an adult Catholic
who, for whatever reason, "missed" one or more of the
sacraments of initiation (First Holy Communion and/or
Confirmation) while growing up?
Anyone interested in learning more can contact Father
John at 201-891-4200 x28.

Autumn Prayer
O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the
changing of the seasons.
As we embrace these autumn months,
May the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time
to rest.
May the crunch of the leaves beneath our feet remind us
of the brevity of this earthly life.
May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that
it is you who give us your breath of life.
May the scurrying of the squirrels and the migration of the
birds remind us that you call us to follow your will.
We praise you for your goodness forever and ever.
Amen.

First Communion Candidates
The Annual Pottery Retreat for First Communion
Candidates and their families was a spiritual and
artistic success. Two hundred children and
adults participated in an interactive retreat about
Penance and Eucharist. Ray Boswell, from
Sugar Loaf, New York, did the multimedia presentation on
his potter's wheel demonstrating the concepts of sin,
forgiveness, and the precious gift of the body and blood of
Christ. The children and parents then decorated a special
blessing cup for communion. What a great day.
Pumpkin Prayer Presentation
Students in CCD enjoyed the Halloween
Pumpkin Prayer Presentation.
Children
participated in reciting the prayer and
assembling the carved pumpkin in response to
the prayer - Open my mind so I Can learn about Jesus;
Take all my sin and forgive the wrong that I do; Open my
eyes so Your love I see; I'm sorry for times I've turned up
my nose of what You've given me; Open my ears so Your
Word I will hear; Open my mouth to tell others You're
near.
