Weld Integrity Test Kits are designed for ease of use and provide documentation that your device performance complies with Terumo BCT’s strength specifications. Weld Integrity Test Kit For use with the TSCD and TSCD II systems Each kit contains: ■■ Wet and dry tubing for welding ■■ A data sheet ■■ Simple, easy-to-follow instructions ■■ A prepaid mailer for returning the welded tubing Operators perform welds using their device and the tubing provided. Welded tubing is then placed in the prepaid mailer and sent to Terumo BCT. Within 72 hours of receiving your test kit, the Terumo BCT Quality Assurance department will evaluate your welds for alignment, pressure resistance, tensile strength, leakage and ease of opening the weld. These tests are executed on each PVC tubing connection performed on the sterile tubing welder: dry-to-dry and dry-to-wet for a TSCD device and dry-to-dry, dry-towet and wet-to-wet for TSCD II devices. When the tests are completed, a written report documenting compliance with Terumo BCT’s weld integrity specifications is provided.
