The Certificate III Guarantee subsidy is available to; any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no
longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or
Australian permanent resident and who does not have and is not enrolled in a certificate III level or higher
qualification.
Course details
Let TAFE Queensland East Coast help you take the first step in becoming a make-up artist. With this course we
will teach you all the foundation skills needed to begin an exciting career in the industry.
This program is an excellent starting point if you're considering a career in the beauty industry and want to get a
better understanding of the different employment options available. In this 10 week program you'll learn
professional make-up application techniques and you'll learn to apply photography make-up for events including
weddings and formals or work in a cosmetic department for a retail operation. You'll learn how to conduct
professional demonstrations of retail skin care products, effectively recommend beauty services and will develop
customer service and retail skills.
To achieve this qualification you will need to complete:

Further Study: SIB30110 Certificate III in Beauty Services, SIB40110 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy, SIB50110
Diploma of Beauty. Short courses in cosmetic tanning and pierce ears.
