Please let us know if you would like to help us in handing out the stockings during the time period of December 1 - 19. We still need volunteers for the gift cart. Jane and Tori are also involved in a school reading program wherein children read to Tori. This program has proved to be very beneficial for children who have difficulty reading. Other News OSMAN WOMENS AUXILIARY For their October meeting, the Osman Womens Auxiliary toured the Gunderson House in Kenyon, Minnesota. After the tour, the group had lunch in the (newly renovated) Schweich Hotel in Kenyon. [Jane Ward and Tori.] [Osman luncheon event at Schweich Hotel. Marjorie Park, WGA Chairman, is seated at table on left.] WISCONSIN VALLEY AUXILIARY Wisconsin Valley Auxiliary had a very busy summer. They held "Dine to Donate" events at the following restaurants: Buffalo Wild Wings on June 16th Texas Roadhouse on July 8th Applebees on August 19th The money raised was sent to WGA for the Wheelchair Fund. What a great way to enjoy a nice meal and raise money at the same time. [L - R, Sue Doty, Frank Peterson PP, Cora Lee Monroe, Bev Peterson and Betty Ported hosted the event.] The guest speaker was Jane Ward, and her Helping Paws Dog, Tori. Jane and Tori gave demonstrations on what service dogs can do for people with On August 14th eleven women gathered at Grace United Church of Christ for 3 hours in the evening to tie blankets. They successfully tied 15 blankets which were sent to the WGA. Page 4 of 5 Through a fundraiser with Kohls Department Store, they received a grant for $500, which was sent to the WGA Wheelchair Fund. They thank Kohls Department Store for making the event such a great, fun experience. They now have special friendships with the 11 volunteers that gave of their time and effort.
