IsoBoard replaces
traditional
materials and techniques for all
building surfaces.
Insulate, fireproof and finish almost any building
easily, quickly, and cost effectively in two step.
On site savings in time and money...
A lifetime of energy savings, fire security & comfort.
IsoTechnic

IsoBoard™ Insulates and makes all Interior and Exterior surfaces fireproof.
IsoBall is formulated to meet or
exceed any international fire
rating, including those
specifying >1000°C (1830°F)
for extended periods. There is
no better protection available.
If a fire breaks out, properly
applied IsoBoard can keep it
isolated longer, saving lives and
property.
IsoBoard™ Protecting at
>900°C.
Interior:
- Paper Laminated, Ready-to-paint
- 1.22M (4') x 2.44M (8')
- 25 & 30mm thick
- Thermal Resistance (λ): <0.06 W/mK
- Compression Strength: 0.9 Mpa
- Density: Approximately 250kg / CBM
Exterior:
- Available pre-painted, or unfinished
- Up to 75mm (3") thick.
- 1.22M (4') x 2.44M (8')
- Thermal Resistance (λ): <0.1 W/mK
- Compression Strength: 2.0 Mpa - 3Mpa
- Density (unpainted): 300-350 kg / CBM
Both feature vapour permeability, so they resist the growth of mildew & moulds.
Both are cost-effective upgrades for legacy buildings, and offer energy efficiency
for new construction at almost no additional cost.
IsoBoard is made from an engineered
closed-cell Perlite manufactured in a
tightly controlled Industrial process.
Physical specifications can be
engineered in, making it especially
suited for various panel products.

IsoBoard™ panels need no learning curve.
Interior IsoBoard installs and finishes like ordinary Gypsum Drywall. Site crews love the lighter weight, the
easy cutting, and no mixing and hauling heavy mortars. Sheets can be adhered directly
to reasonably straight masonry walls with any quality adhesive mortar. Strapping
compensates for wall irregularities, improves insulation performance
and simplifies installation & maintenance of wiring and plumbing.
Exterior IsoBoard panels can be texture painted directly, or
covered in ceramic tile, stone or brick veneers.
IsoBoard contains no toxins or hydrocarbons. It will never give off toxic
fumes or gasses. Its insulation performance, high temperature
tolerance (>1000°C), and 100%
inflammability combine to create
a fire barrier that can gain precious
time in an emergency.
Unlike Gypsum Dry-wall, IsoBoard
insulates and “breathes” so that
it remains dry and mildew free.
Even if fully saturated with water,
IsoBoard will return to its original
specifications if allowed to dry.
Exterior grade IsoBoard is made stronger
than Interior grade, and can be supplied
pre-finished with a UV-water-mildewproof finish. Properly applied, IsoBoard
will support almost any finishing
material, or can be finished directly with
any exterior grade stucco or texture
paint.
Intermediate coats of exterior plasters,
mesh, etc required by traditional stucco
systems are typically not necessary.
High strength versions of IsoBoard, up to 3MPa, can be used for horizontal surfaces such as
slab floors and roofs. Floors can be finished in your material of choice, stone, ceramic tile,
or wood. They are ideal as underlayment for floor heating systems.
IsoTechnic’s Insulation Board products are suitable for almost any
construction method, but they are an especially effective and
inexpensive way to add energy efficiency to masonry buildings.
Rapidly diminishing resources mean yesterday's masonry construction is no longer “good enough".
With Isoboard, low cost, energy efficient masonry buildings are now possible. IsoBoard saves time
and money in construction, while drastically reducing the building’s lifetime cost and enhancing the
safety and comfort of the building’s occupants.
Whether building new, or restoring ancient history, IsoBoard products transform time honoured
masonry construction into safe, energy efficient, residential and commercial buildings with little or
no cost penalty compared to standard practices.
Together, we can continue to “build it right” in the future.
