The 1.8 billion youth alive today are the shapers and leaders of our global future, but their issues are often overlooked. Investing in young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights is essential to enable well-informed choices about relationships, sexuality and having children. Countries that invest in young people will have more educated and healthy populations, more productive workforces, growing economies and falling fertility rates. Providing accurate and comprehensive sexuality education is a condition to enable developing countries to reap the benefits of the demographic dividend.
