Built-in test approach of reconfigurable
processing
Objective
• Investigate the concept of BIT for reconfigurable systems
Approach
• Reconfigurable systems will not have a static functional alignment
towards processing nodes
• This call for a BIT concept which on itself is also reconfigurable
• The minimum output result of this project should be a concept study
and if possible a concept demonstrator
• Preferably this should be based on commercial of the shelf
tools/toolsets for diagnostics
Just in time compilation for reconfigurable
processing
Objective
• Research the use of LLVM in reconfigurable SW systems; at deploy
and/or runt-time
Approach
• JIT compilation of code which is optimized for the currently (at deployor run-time) available resource
o
e.g. a low-end GPU instead of a high-end GPU or availability of other GPP
accelerators, either on-chip or off-chip
• The work should at least result in a feasibility study and if possible a
proof of concept should be demonstrated
Model Based Testing for Reconfigurable
Systems
Objective
• Research the test approach for reconfigurable SW systems
Approach
• Find approach in testing (run-time) reconfiguring system (not testing all
possible configurations)?
o
Can the test approach be generic? Can it be a model based approach?
• How is such a test approach implemented?
• What are the test technologies needed (build/buy/team)?
• Is the test approach the same for the different processing architectures
considered?
