At the next (3rd) circle (Rt. 12/523) continue on Rt. 12 west toward Frenchtown.

You will come to a traffic light in about 3/10 of a mile. Continue on Rt. 12 west for about 3 or 4 miles.
·
The next traffic light (Shell Station/Dunkin Donuts on far right corner) is the intersection of Rt. 12/579.
·
Continue straight on Rt. 12 west for about 3/10 of a mile to Plaza 12 West on your right.
From Hopewell/Pennington

Route 518 west to Route 31 North.
·
At the intersection of Routes 31/202 and 579 (Rutgers nursery on right) stay straight onto Route 579
north.
·
Proceed under the 202 overpass into the town of Ringoes. Go past the gas station and Carousel Deli just
at the fork.

At the fork, go left onto Route 579 north and proceed for about 6 miles to the stop sign at the top of the
hill.
·
Make a left at the stop sign onto Route 523 South and then a QUICK right onto 579 north and continue up
the hill.
·
Go about 4 miles to the traffic light (Shell/Dunkin Donuts far left corner).

Transfers from an “A” to a “B” class at the same level are allowed at these trials and must be made in writing to the
Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial.
The request must state the reason and justification for the move from an “A” class to the “B” class within the level
(Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 16b).
A transfer request may also be made in advance to the Trial Secretary and should be sent through regular mail or email and should include the following information: Owner’s name, dog’s registered name, dog’s registration #, jump
height (if any), class moving from, class moving to.
Transfers made after the closing date will be judged at the end of the class.
AM Trial - All classes with jumps will run in descending catalog order.
PM Trial - All classes with jumps will run in ascending catalog order.
As a courtsey to our exhibitors, in classes without jumps, every attempt will be made to assign catalog order as if the
class was ordered by jump height.
All competitors, through entry in this event, waive any and all rights relative to photo/video broadcast of this event.
Competitors shall have the right to videotape/photograph portions of this event for their personal use only. No portion
of this event may be videotaped/photographed for commercial or other purposes. All video, photograph, broadcast, and
telecast rights for this event are the exclusive property of the Doberman Pinscher Club of the Tappan Zee.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

JUMP HEIGHTS must be listed in accordance with AKC rules. ENTRIES WITHOUT JUMP HEIGHTS will be judged
at the end of the class.
THE SHOW WILL BE OPEN from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
AS SPECIFIED IN CHAPTER 12, SECTION 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the
entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other
media.
DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging
will be excused.
JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for
the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.
ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on a leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the
exercise area.
EXERCISE your dog in the designated potty area only; please clean up after your dog.
UNENTERED DOGS will not be permitted in the building.
NO EX-PENS are permitted on the premisis. Please bring your own chairs. Crates and chairs will be placed in properly
designated areas only (indoors/heated). Please be considerate of other exhibitors needing crate space.

THE TRIAL COMMITTEE will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be
responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating
in this trial. THE DOBERMAN PINSCHER CLUB OF THE TAPPAN ZEE and HUNTERDON K-9 CENTER, LLC.
WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT that may occur to any person, animal, property or
vehicle. The exhibitors shall hold the Trial Committee harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceeding arising
from any accident.
NO GASOLINE OR DIESEL GENERATORS are permitted inside the building or within 100 feet of any building in
which this dog show is conducted.
NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING/RV is permitted on this trial site.
THERE WILL BE AN OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER available at this trial.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards.

This show is open to all dogs over the age of 6 months who are registered with the American Kennel Club (including
mixed breeds), or are a registerable breed who has obtained an AKC, ILP, PAL or MA number, except bitches in season,
aggressive dogs or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental
performance. Dogs who are blind or deaf will not be eligible. No dog will compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way
or has anything attached to it for medical purposes.
The PRE-NOVICE CLASS is for all dogs and is an optional titling class. The owner or any other person may handle
dogs in this class and may enter more than one dog in this class. A dog may continue to compete in this class after it
has won the PCD title or any other obedience title. If eligible as defined in these regulations, dogs entered in PreNovice may also be entered in any other obedience class.
The BEGINNER NOVICE CLASS is an optional titling class and is for dogs who have not won the BN title. It is an
optional titling class. Dogs entered in Beginner Novice A or Beginner Novice B may also be entered in other obedience
classes.
To be eligible for Beginner Novice A, a handler must own the dog entered, or be a member of the owner’s household
or immediate family, and may not have previously handled any dog who has earned any AKC Obedience title. Owners
may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Beginner Novice A and Beginner Novice B at
any trial.
The owner or any other person may handle dogs in the Beginner Novice B Class to earn a BN title. Owners may
enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Beginner Novice A and Beginner Novice B at any
trial.
The GRADUATE NOVICE CLASS is an optional titling class and is for dogs who have not won a GN title. The owner
or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class; however, if a
person has handled more than one dog in the first five exercises, that person must provide a handler for the additional
dog in the same Long Down exercise. Dogs entered in Graduate Novice may also be entered in any other obedience
classes.
Dogs entered in any optional titling class such as those described above and offered at this show, will
not be eligible for the Highest Scoring Dog in Trial award that is recorded with the AKC.
The NOVICE A CLASS is for dogs who have not won the CD title. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member
of the owner’s household or immediate family and may not have previously handled any dog who has earned an AKC
Novice, Open, or Utility title. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. The same person who handles the dog
in the first four exercises must handle the dog in the group exercises; however, if a person has handled more than one
dog in the first four exercises, that person must provide a handler for the additional dog in the same group exercises.
The additional handler for the group exercises need not be a member of the owner’s household or immediate family.
No dog may be entered in both Novice A and Novice B at any one trial.

In the NOVICE B CLASS, the owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class to earn a CD. Owners may
enter more than one dog in this class. The same person who handles the dog in the first four exercises must handle the
dog in the group exercises; however, if a person has handled more than one dog in the first four exercises, that person
must provide a handler for the additional dog in the same group exercises. The additional handler for the group
exercises need not be a member of the owner’s household or immediate family. No dog may be entered in both Novice
A and Novice B at any one trial.

TELEGRAPH, TELEPHONE, FAXED, DIGITAL ENTRIES and UNSIGNED ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
CREDIT CARD payment for entries for this trial will not be accepted.
ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS and photocopies of AKC entry forms without the Agreement
and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS
AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE.
DECLINATION OF ENTRIES. The show committee may decline any entries for cause, and may refuse to admit or
may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other cause, and no one shall have any claim or recourse
against the show-giving club or any official thereof.
ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or the
judge, or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbance or other
acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fee(s)
will be made.
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS, such as, but not limited to snowstorms, hurricanes, lightening, extreme heat
must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors
and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to stop or cancel the trial before completion,
no refund of entry fees will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations, call the AKC Event Cancellation
Hotline at 877-252-3229.
ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make
such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published
closing date.
NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has
been processed, no refund will be made.
TRANSFERS (from the A to the B classes) WILL BE PERMITTED AT THESE TRIALS provided the time limits
have not yet been reached and must be done in writing no later than one half hour before the start of the trial.
BITCHES IN SEASON are NOT permitted to compete. After the close of entries, only refund requests for bitches in
season can be accepted. Those requests must include a veterinarian’s note and be received by the Trial Secretary NO
LATER than one half hour prior to the start of the first class at the morning trial. After the close of entries, a
processing fee of $5.00 will be assessed. There will be no refund for injury or illness after entries close.
