Brisbane Open House was another success for the Club with over 550 visitors being
taken on personal guided tours of Naldham House by our volunteer members during
four hours on the 12th October.
The Club is in the middle of the “busy season” currently with several exciting events
to come before the Christmas break.
Melbourne Cup is a sell out again with the increased capacity of the Morgan Room
enabling more members and guests to enjoy this signature event.
The Family Christmas Dinner on the 10th December is always a special evening
with generations of families enjoying the Australian Girls Choir and I would like
to encourage all members to join me for the Presidents Drinks on Friday the 12th
December.
I am endeavouring to meet as many members as possible and this event brings all of
our membership categories together in a festive environment.
Plans for 2015 are beginning to take shape with the year marking the 25th
anniversary of the Polo Club. Committee and Management are currently working on
detail with the concept of delivering 25 signature events during the calendar year.
A reminder that the Club will be closed for the G20 weekend, effective Friday the
14th November to Sunday the 16th November, re opening again on Monday the 17th
November.

Why do I enjoy the club? Everyone I’ve met at the club has been so friendly and accommodating. It is
a great venue for networking made easy, networking can often be quite staged and formal but it doesn’t
feel like that at BPC.
A Polo Club tip for new members? Visit the club regularly, you’ll get out what you put in. Also try and
attend the members for members lunches if you can.
