n o C A m / a 5 n 4 y D SP Superplasticizer based on modified acrylic for precast concrete with a low water/cement ratio and high early compressive strength DESCRIPTION Dynamon SP 45/AC is a liquid superplasicizer based on modified acrylic polymer specially designed for precast concrete industry, and is part of MAPEI Dynamon SP system. WHERE TO USE Concrete with Dynamon SP 45/AC has a high level of workability (consistency class plastic or fluid, according to ASTM), and is consequently easy to apply when fresh. At the same time it provides excellent mechanical performances when hardened. Dynamon SP 45/AC is especially suitable for precast concrete and wherever there is the need for a very strong water reduction and mechanical strengths at early age, in different consistency classes with a curing temperature higher than +15°C or with steam curing. Its characteristics make it particularly suitable for manufacturing self-compacting concrete, by ensuring high workability and the accelerated development of mechanical strength. For self-compacting concrete the use of Dynamon SP 45/AC is strongly recommended in order to avoid the risk of segregation and ensures the mixture homogeneity even with a very high slump flow. The main applications of Dynamon SP 45/AC for concrete are: • manufacturing of pre-stressed reinforced beams with a high level of workability and a minimum compressive strength Rckj, to cut the pre-stressed tendons, equal to 35 N/mm2 and with an excellent appearance; • manufacturing of cladding panels with a high level of workability, a very refined surface and an excellent appearance; • self-compacting concrete for precasting. Dynamon SP 45/AC is suitable for manufacturing self-compacting concrete which can be poured without vibration. Its characteristics of fluidity and resistance to segregation are also suitable for a fast casting procedure. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Dynamon SP 45/AC consists of a water solution containing new generation acrylic polymers. The polymers efficiently disperse the cement grains and enable fast hydration and strength gain of concrete. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Dynamon SP 45/AC develops maximum dispersing action when added after the other mixture ingredients (cement, aggregates, mineral addition or filler and at least 80% of the mixing water). COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER PRODUCTS Dynamon SP 45/AC is compatible with other products for preparing special concretes, especially with: • hardening accelerating chloride-free admixtures from the Mapefast range for reaching very high mechanical strengths at early ages; • Mapeplast SF, silica fume based powder admixture for manufacturing high quality concretes (in terms of strength, impermeability, durability); • Expancrete, expansive agent for manufacturing shrinkage compensated concrete; • fly ash for the production of self-compacting concrete or pumpable concrete; • different types of limestone fillers for manufacturing self-compacting concrete; • Mapeform and DMA form-releasing agents for releasing concrete from formworks; • Mapecure curing emulsions to protect form-released concrete from rapid water evaporation. For self-compacting concrete from 1.0 l to 2.0 l per 100 kg of fine materials (passing at 0.1 mm sieve). Different dosages from those suggested must be previously checked by concrete trials and, after consulting MAPEI Technical Services Department. PACKAGING Dynamon SP 45/AC is available in bulk, 200 l drums, 1000 l IBC tanks. STORAGE Dynamon SP 45/AC can be stored for 12 months in sealed containers and protect from frost. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION AND APPLICATION Dynamon SP 45/AC is irritant for the eyes. It is recommended to wear protective gloves and goggles and to take the usual precautions when handling chemical products. In case of contact with the eyes or the skin wash immediately with plenty of water.
