A SOUND ALONE: Join us for our next Reimagine Worship gathering next Friday, November 14, at 7:00pm at Redeemer Chicago. Reimagine Worship is a relaxed, coffeehouse-style evening of music and conversation – a perfect end to the work week. A Sound Alone will be a participatory, all-vocal evening of communal songs including choruses, chants, and spirituals. ADULT CLASS: Come to the gym on Sundays at 10:00am for coffee, goodies, and a chance to think together about prayer. We’re currently using a DVD-discussion series by noted author Philip Yancey called Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? If you’ve every wrestled with that question, this is a great opportunity to share your thoughts and hear from others. CHOIR REHEARSALS: Our choirs are rehearsing for Christmas. Vocal Choir meets on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, with Bell Choir following at 8:00pm. Rehearsals will continue every Wednesday leading up until Christmas. If you’re interested in participating, please see Kathie Rich or Rob Panknin – or just show up! No prior musical training is required and youth are welcome. The choirs will participate at the late Christmas Eve service, and possibly once on a Sunday morning in Advent. CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING BY SERVING OTHERS: Join us at Redeemer Chicago as we partner with St. Giles Catholic Church for a time of celebration of Thanksgiving and service to our community. We have three evening service opportunities leading up to Thanksgiving, plus opportunities on Thanksgiving Day. On Monday evening, Nov. 24, we will be covering the floors and setting up tables at Redeemer Chicago. On Tuesday evening, we will be decorating the walls and tables. And, on Wednesday evening, it will be kitchen and service set-up. On Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27, we will pack meals for the homebound, following this up with a community meal for neighbors in need. We will wrap up the celebration by 3:00pm. Thanks! 20/30-SOMETHINGS: SAVE THE DATE: Mark your calendars for our 2015 20/30s retreat, which will be held at the LaSalle Manor Retreat Center in Plano, Illinois. The retreat will run Saturday, June 27 - Sunday June 28, with the option to come out on Friday, June 26, for a 2night stay. Details to come!
