RAILPORT SCANDINAVIA 2015/01 Welcome Railport system to the PORT OF GOTHENBURG and THE RAILPORT SCANDINAVIA Welcome to Railport Scandinavia – a highly efficient railway network who connect inland terminals throughout Sweden and Norway with the Port of Gothenburg. A cost efficient and sustainable transport solution with connecting traffic to the rest of the world. RAILPORT INTERMODAL SYSTEM The Port of Gothenburg has the best conditions in Sweden for rail traffic and a highly efficient ”on-dock rail terminal”. Sweden’s most important consumption and production centres are served every day by 24 daily intermodal rail shuttles – and more are on the way. RAILPORT CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM In addition to railport intermodal system, customer adapted train systems contribute further both to improved service and reduced environmental impact. Customer adapted whole train systems arriving to the Port of Gothenburg are an important cog in our vision of efficient, sustainable transports. Steel, paper or sawn timber etc – there are many good examples and each solution is entirely tailored to our customers’ needs. RAILPORT TERMINAL Intermodal terminals connected to the Port of Gothenburg. The terminals offer a wide range of services, for example customs, storage and empty depot.
