a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer Astral Operations Ltd currently has the following vacancy: ASSISTANT NUTRITIONIST MEADOW FEEDS DELMAS The successful candidate would be responsible for: Assisting the Nutritionist with the management of the Nutrition Department and onsite Laboratory at both Delmas and Standerton, including the following; • • • • Feed Formulations; Product performance, quality and traceability including Salmonella program, sample management and Farm Feed Act, Liaison with sales department, key customers, industry bodies and other stakeholders; Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Procedure Manual and all QA systems. The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements: • • • • • • • • • A minimum BSc. Agriculture in animal nutrition and post-graduate experience in nutrition would be an advantage; Have a working knowledge and understanding of the FORMAT formulation system; Computer literate with MS Office experience, particularly Excel & Powerpoint; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Assertive, self-motivated and quality driven;; Excellent analytical and numerical skills; Personal and professional integrity; Converse fluently in both English and Afrikaans; A valid code 08 driver licence.
