October has been a very good month and we would like to say “Thank you” to every member
of the club. We also welcomed 7 New Members, which brings our New Member total to 208.
November will be an enjoyable month as well. There will be a different dinner special each Saturday
evening this month, which will complement the Thursday and Friday evening dinner specials. There
will be a featured entrée item on each Sunday Brunch menu this month. You will notice that each
chef and cook will prepare these different selections for you each week.
There will be a hidden logo in the Newsletter this month. If you find this logo you should
e-mail the club. As these e-mails arrive they will be answered with a clue. These clues will lead you
to a location on the property where you will find a valuable prize. We hope you enjoy the Treasure
Hunt and Good Luck!! Each week during November, on a different day each week, a Team
Stonebridge member will be asked to walk the parking lot. They will be looking for vehicles with the
new Stonebridge Logo. Once they make their selection we will include the vehicle description with
the first letters of the tag number in an e-mail to all members. If that member reads the e-mail and
recognizes that it is their vehicle they should call the office. If they call, they will receive a $100.00
credit to their member account!! Good Luck!!
There are several very nice events at the club this month. The Challenge Cup Golf
Tournament will take place at Stonebridge on November 8 and 9. Stonebridge will host the GA BBQ
Association cooking contest on November 21 and 22. We will begin the Christmas season with our
first ever 5k Run with Santa. The path will be lit with luminaries. We will host a Burger & Beer reception after the run. Each person who purchases a $20.00 ticket will also get to vote on the GA BBQ
Team Hospitality Challenge as well as sample the food items they prepare for you. Tickets are available for the run and the Hospitality Challenge at the club house. The Quail Classic Golf Tournament
will also take place on Friday November 21. This is a tournament that honors our local Veterans.
This is going to be an exciting weekend at the club and may be the largest event of the year. Please
call or e-mail the club if you need additional information or if you have any questions.
We will have a great Thanksgiving Day Menu prepared for you on November 27. Please call
early for reservations.
As you can see there is a lot going on in November and we look forward to seeing you at the club!!

Clubs in Albany. Stonebridge is host for this years event

USTA Update
Our three teams, Women’s 3.5, Women’s 4.0 and Men’s 4.0 will complete their seasons this
month. Thanks to our captains for all their hard work: Barbara Dunham (Women’s 4.0),
Leigh Singletary and Jenn Stone (Women’s 3.5) and Brad Murphy (Men’s 4.0)
Junior Team Tennis Match
On November 1 our 10 and under SB junior boys and girls are invited to play their second
tennis match. This is a fun way to experience match play! The match will be held at
Doublegate CC. For more information and details please contact Paige Price (229-430-0286).
Fall Stonebridge Junior Tennis Clinics
The November session junior clinics will start November 3, Monday and
Wednesdays, from 5-6pm for beginning/intermediate boys and girls 4-14
years. The USTA Quick Start concept (low compression balls, lower nets,
smaller courts) is used to help kids have more fun learning how to play
tennis and learn faster! September cost is $80 ($95 nonmembers). Sign
up Nov. 2.
Stonebridge Club Singles Tournament December 1-14
Our annual tournament for members only determines the 2014 club singles
champions for the following events: Men’s and Women’s 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+. The
tournament is played over a two week period with flexible scheduling to
accommodate more players. Cost is $15 for one event and $20 for two events with
a consolation round or round robin in each event. Entry fee includes balls and
awards. All champions will have their names engraved on our permanent
Champion’s Plaque. Sign up deadline: Nov. 28.
All tennis players: Each Monday we will send out an email announcing the
Weekday/Weekend tennis. If you would like to play that week, please respond to
the email and indicate which day or days you would like to play. If we have more
response to the email, it would enable us to schedule matches more efficiently.
