From Father Costa
As we celebrate Veterans Day this Tuesday,
November 11, let us offer this prayer for all
veterans and for all who are currently defending
our nation and the freedoms we share.
God of peace,
we pray for those who have served our nation
and have laid down their lives
to protect and defend our freedom.
We pray for those who have fought,
whose spirits and bodies are scarred by war,
whose nights are haunted by memories
too painful for the light of day.
We pray for those who serve us now,
especially for those in harm’s way.
Shield them from danger
and bring them home.
Turn the hearts and minds
of our leaders and our enemies
to the work of justice and a harvest of peace.
Spare the poor, Lord, spare the poor!
May the peace you left us,
the peace you gave us,
be the peace that sustains,
the peace that saves us.
Christ Jesus, hear us!
Lord Jesus, hear our prayer!
Amen.

dove, lamb or the holy family etc., would be perfect.
You are invited to take a chance on our tree at the fair
on November 29th. Thank you for your support with
this very special donation on behalf of our program.
If your child attends class on Tuesday’s during the 45pm session and is participating in rehearsals during
class for the Sacred Heart Christmas Choir please call
Mrs. Dillon to arrange for makeup work. The class
work may be easily done at home as they prepare to
sing for Christmas!
