NOTICES – 19 OCTOBER, 2014 New - Thank you to all who helped make last night’s Quiz Night with fish & chip supper such good fun. New - Altar Linen: For many years St Mary's altar linen has been meticulously washed and beautifully ironed by Audrey Johns. We are very grateful indeed to Audrey for her help but as she approaches her 90th birthday, she feels that she needs to hand this task on to someone a little younger. It isn't an onerous job. If you think you could take this on or for more details, please speak to Canon Ann. New - Church Heating: The church heating has broken down and will not be usable this winter. A working group is looking at options for repair or replacement and is reporting back to the Consultative Group. We may well need to fundraise for a replacement system and further information will be given as soon as we know more. In the meantime and as an emergency measure, additional electric heaters have been purchased. These will be sited mainly on the North side of the church (the partition side), so you may like to bear this in mind when choosing where to sit during the colder months. New – Today at All Saints - Organ Recital by Julian Thomas, formerly Cathedral Organist at Norwich and Lincoln Cathedrals. 6.30 pm. £5 at the door to include a glass of wine. Bach, Elgar, Guilmant and Ireland. Volunteers: Thank you to all who serve St Mary's and our local community in ways too numerous to mention. You make a real difference! If you are not yet involved, or would like to try doing something different, please read the leaflet explaining how you can play your part and sign up on the board at the back of church. With everyone involved we could do even more! Remembrance Day: Grateful thanks to Dan Graham for taking on the sound system for this.
