XComP™’s method utilizes microcompetencies as the “building blocks” of competencies. XComP™ attaches microcompetencies to the assessments administered within a program to visualize, in real-time, how their students are performing. Comparisons can then be drawn across cohorts, and even nationally, for student and program evaluation purposes. XComP™ supports the instructional approaches used most often: • • • • • • • Lecture Problem-based learning Case-based learning Laboratory Simulation Practicums and clinical experiences Online learning XComP™ is also compatible with most testing, curriculum, and clinical management technologies. Whatever the instructional approach, XComP™ maps assessments to learning outcomes and competencies. XComP™ normalizes student performance across all assessment methodologies to provide a composite, authentic assessment of the individual student and cohorts of students. XComP™ helps faculty identify student learning gaps and correct deficiencies in real time. With the touch of a button, XComP™ gives students daily feedback on their performance in specific competency areas. XComP™ provides administrators one simple tool for curriculum mapping, student assessment, and program evaluation.
