This catalog is the realization of a dream. One year ago, I left a successful career in the fashion
industry to start a clothing company based on a character – Ace Rivington. He’s the embodiment
of today’s American man, an independent blend of the vintage and modern that’s always in style.
The grandson of a barnstormer, Ace learned to fly at age 12 by piloting a beat up sea plane around
Alaska. Today, he flies all over the world as a private jet pilot. But this catalog isn’t just about
Ace’s style, it’s also about his adventures.
In each issue of the catalog, Ace will land in a new city where, through pictures, his journal and
story notes, you’ll see his clothes, hear about his adventures and get his personal guide to the city.
Chapter one takes place in the land of big dreams: Hollywood. It features our holiday collection
as well as Ace’s favorite destinations like the Golden Gopher, SLS Hotel and Yamashiro Hollywood.

During the “Golden Age” of Hollywood, Yamashiro
served as the ultra-exclusive hang-out for the “Club
of the Four Hundred”: the era’s most famous and
influential stars and movie moguls. The structure
and its grounds served as a boy’s military school
and later apartments before being acquired in
1948 by the Thomas O. Glover, who – with his
son, Thomas Y. Glover – discovered the beauty
beneath the disrepair and refurbished the space.
The restaurant is still owned and operated by
Thomas Y. Glover. Over 60 years later, Yamashiro
continues to flourish as an Asian-inspired Los
Angeles institution.

The Ace Rivington PT-17 Slim Tapered is offered in
fabrics from one of the premier denim mills in Italy.
It all began in 1938 when Luigi Candiani started a small
production of work-wear fabrics in a tiny town near
Milan. His son Primo converted the weaving facility into
a denim mill and passed it on to his first-born Gianluigi
who created the fabrics that gave birth to the premium
denim industry. Today his son Alberto is leading the mill
into the new millennium elevating it to the status of the
greenest textile company in the blue world. In four generations the enterprise grew to become the world’s finest
and most sustainable denim mill. Today Candiani proudly
celebrates 75 years of excellence in the denim world.
