sales and customer service teams in

Sales and distribution associates exclusively represent the PEC Group in select

For PEC-TA Cast-in channels, the required
General European and National Building
Inspection Approvals of the German construction industry were obtained from the
Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik in Berlin.
The applicable approvals for the different
products are mentioned in the product
information pages.
The products with a national approval
must be calculated according to DIN 10451:2008-08. The design loads for the PECTA Cast-in channels are provided in this
brochure.
The design calculation for the products
with a European Technical Approval is
based on the standard CEN/TS 1992-4.
For the design calculation according to
CEN/TS 1992-4, PEC provides a software
program to optimize product selection.
In the national approval for PEC-TA is
given the design load, valid for all directions (except for shear load lengthwise to
the channel). Please contact our technical
offices in Germany or China for all detailed
requests regarding design calculations.

PEC-TA Cast-in channels
PEC-TA Cast-in channels and Bolts
PEC Cast-in channels are ideally suited for quick, reliable and cost-efficient fixing of
different construction elements. The possibility to make simple and flexible adjustments
saves time and money. PEC Cast-in channels are approved by the German Institute for
Structural Engineering as a European Technical Approval (ETA) or a General Building
Inspection approval. Other PEC-TA Cast-in channels are under the development to apply
for a European Technical Approval. Please refer to the product catalog pages to find
which approvals apply to each Cast-in channel.
PEC Cast-in channels with rip-line
Fixing of bridge drainage
Special profiled foam filler protects the inside of the channel from concrete seeping
into the slot. The rip-line integrated in the filling allows the easy and complete removal
of the filling from the profile. The clean removal of the filling prevents polystyrene
residue at the construction site. The PEC rip-line system allows the full removal of the
filling, or only in parts of the profile, by means of sectioned rip-lines.
Fixing of curtain wall elements
PEC Cast-in channel anchoring profiles can be supplied in stainless steel or hot dip
galvanized. A comprehensive range of accessories offers ideal conditions for various
applications in the anchoring and installation technology.

Installation Instruction of PEC Cast-in Channels
Simple, secure and cost effective
PEC Cast-in channels are ideally suited for quick, reliable and
cost-effective fixing of different construction elements. Use of
PEC Cast-in channels in preliminary planning reduces construction
time and saves money, since connections are bolted, not welded
or drilled.
PEC Cast-in channels are easily and promptly assembled without
complicated tools or special training. Built-in adjustability allows
connections to correct construction tolerances, without noise,
dust, vibration, or fire hazard, since no welding or drilling are
required.

After marking the approximate position needed for
connections, PEC channels are easily nailed to the formwork
before pouring concrete.
When the formwork is removed, the rip line integrated in
the filling allows the easy and complete removal of the filling
from the profile. The clean removal of the filling prevents
polystyrene residue at the construction site.
2.
The notch on the bottom of PEC T-bolt should be parallel to
the channel in length direction while the PEC T-bolt is
inserted into the channel slot.
3.
PEC T-bolt is correctly installed only when the notch on the
bottom of the bolt is at 90º to the channel slot.
4.
PEC T-bolt can be adjusted quickly in any position in
PEC Cast-in channels. T-bolts should not be installed
outside of the outer-most anchors.
5.
Nuts are simply tightened with a wrench on PEC T-bolts to
secure building components to the structure. If torque
values are indicated, a torque wrench should be used.

PEC Curtain Wall
Curtain wall anchoring for modern buildings with glass and aluminum facades can be
a real challenge when using standardized fixing products. PEC Cast-in channels allow
flexible fixing options, combined with custom PEC anchoring elements.
PEC anchor brackets are not standard solutions. They are customized according to
our customers’ drawings and specifications. The PEC Group has specialized in hot-dip
galvanized anchor brackets made from high-performance steel casting alloys. Highprecision casting processes are applied to produce all components.
The supervision of the casting processes as well as the finished products are implemented according to international standards. Following the AQL procedure, individual
quality control measures are observed, performed and documented for each product.
Standard tests and inspections include the measuring of the part, as well as metallographic structure testing, spectral analyses, ultrasonic inspections and x-ray tests,
tensile testing, notched-bar impact bending tests, and hardness testing. Some of these
tests and inspections are conducted by external, officially approved institutes.
