The Pan African Pediatric Surgical Association (PAPSA) has hosted this course three times before in Accra, Ghana(2008), Dar Esalam, Tanzania (2010), and Cape Town, South Africa (2012) just prior to the biennial congress of PAPSA. There was a positive feedback from the previous participants. We are pleased to organize the fourth Greenwood Overseas neonatal surgical Skills Course in Learning Resource Centre (LRC) in Faculty of Medicine, Cairo on 11 November 2014.. The course is one day long with the day before set aside for preparation and training the local trainers. Number of registrants is dependent on the local facilities. This year the expected numbers will range from 30 – 40 registrants. Due to limited number, early registration is highly advised. Objectives of this course: 1. to provide hands on training for surgeons, trainees and health professionals in newborn surgery so that independence can be reached from external source. 2.
