Background
Health-on-Line prides itself on the level of service we offer to our customers and colleagues. A key part
in delivering this service is ensuring we employ the right individuals and maintain the correct volume of
staff in order to meet our business objectives. This role will be responsible for supporting the HR team
with various aspects of Recruitment and HR administration. Dealing with the sometimes delicate nature
of HR and Recruitment you will need to be organised, approachable, with a good attention to detail. In
this busy team your ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines is paramount. You will
also be required to develop and maintain good working relationships throughout the organisation and
with external agencies.
You will mainly be responsible for the following and any other reasonable requests;
Supporting the Recruitment Function by booking and attending interviews as well as
providing assistance at recruitment events
Liaising with candidates and external agencies to provide constructive interview
feedback within legal requirements
Preparing contracts and offer paperwork for successful new starters
Carrying out background checking and referencing to ensure all new starter
documentation is completed
Administration of the new starter procedure including taking an active role in the
Induction Process
Supporting the upkeep of personnel records ensuring these are kept up to date at
all times
Working with the HR team to support daily aspects of HR administration
Key measures and responsibilities
Business knowledge - understanding all the areas within Health-on-Line and the principles of insurance.
Market awareness and specialist knowledge – understanding our products and placing in the market.
Health and Safety guidelines - understanding your responsibilities to ensure Health-on-Line continually
complies with its regulations.
Confidentiality with data protection- Understanding your responsibilities to ensure delicate matters of
HR and Recruitment are kept confidential.
Providing support to colleagues - ability to interact with colleagues and Managers, providing
administrative support through delicate matters
Maintaining relationships- ability to maintain relationships with external agencies, candidates and
applicants as well as internal staff. Ensuring communication is clear, honest and delivered in a timely
and professional manner. You will contribute to the maintenance of the company’s reputation by
delivering on promises.

standards, attendance, timekeeping and any other reasonable requests

Skills and experience
Recruitment experience desirable
Knowledge of HR and an office environment
Ability to understand and deliver for colleagues and external partners
Confident in making decisions
Good attention to detail
Ability to multitask in an organised manner
Good analytical skills, and able to work methodically and accurately
Ability to make recommendations and improvements to processes and procedures

Operating environment and context of the job
You will be working in an open plan professional environment. Our opening hours are between 8am and
8pm Monday to Saturday. You will be contracted to work a 35 hour week, working a normal shift
pattern of 9am- 5pm although this may vary to suit business needs.
A large part of your working day will be spent supporting the HR team with all aspects of recruitment
and administration throughout the department. Maintaining high productivity is important within a
working environment which is very busy and pressurised.
