Worshipful Masters Message
Brethren,
At our November stated meeting we will be discussing the 8 resolutions up for
vote at this year grand annual communications. The resolutions are available on the
grand lodge website.

Oct was a busy month for the BBQ team. They did not win the professional
contest but learned alot from the experience. They did place 1st in ribs at the Masonic
Children’s home contest in Oxford NC. A Great Job goes out to Duke Compton, Dale
Zeman, John Jewell, John Ahearn and Howard McDonald!!!!
We will be feeding families in need again at Thanksgiving. The Young Marines
unit from Front Royal will be assisting. The cost this year is $35 per family. This
includes a cooked bird and all the side dishes. Please let me know if you would like to
sponsor a family or if you know of a family in need. Also you can purchase a smoked
turkey (no side dishes) for the same price a sponsoring a family. Please let me know if
you can help in any way.
I hope to see you at the stated meeting on Monday Nov 3rd . Dinner will be
served at 6:15pm and meeting at 7:30pm.

Message from the Secretary
Brethren,
I want you to know that I have received the 2015 dues cards. I told you last month that dues would be
going up because of the Grand Lodge increase in assessments of $7.00. Your dues for 2015 will be $80.00 and
$2.00 voluntary for the Lodge widows fund.The Lodge widows fund is so the Lodge can give the widows a fruit
basket for Christmas and pay for their coming to a ladies night dinner.There are 24 widows of Spurmont now.
These ladies appreciate the small things that the lodge does for them and also lets them know they are not
forgotten by the members.

I will be getting the dues notice out the first of November. As a last reminder to you brethren who have
not paid 2014 dues that they will be so noted on your dues notice.
