From April 2015, ANA will start introducing “ANA Wi-Fi Service” on 30 additional aircraft operating on international routes, including 787-8, 7879 and 777-300ER planes. This will increase the number of aircraft offering a Wi-Fi service on international flights to approximately 60. ANA Wi-Fi Service, a charged service, was introduced on certain international routes on March 1, 2014. In addition, all new aircraft entering ANA’s international fleet will be Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring it’s entire international fleet is equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi in the future. Newsletter Switzerland November 2014 http://www.star-alliance.ch Brussels Airlines expands its winter offer with Riga, Krakow and Warsaw Brussels Airlines announces three newcomers in its autumn and winter program, which opens on October 26th : Riga, Krakow, Warsaw. Other destinations are updated with more frequencies or improved timetables. At Brussels Airport, Brussels Airlines opens a new lounge in October and thanks to four new travel options for European flights, passengers are now offered even better value for money. The big newcomer on the short haul network is Riga. Brussels Airlines will set course six times per week in the afternoon to Riga International Airport. Warsaw and Krakow, two destinations that Brussels Airlines launched this summer, will also be part of the winter schedule. The Polish capital Warsaw is served 6 times a week and the touristic city Krakow four times a week. Flight frequencies to Tel Aviv are increased during the winter season, bringing the total number of Brussels Airlines flights to ten instead of eight times weekly. During several months this winter a fourth daily flight will be offered to Madrid. The Moroccan winter sun will be accessible more often this winter thanks to a second weekly flight to Marrakech during several winter months. Flight frequencies will also be added to Budapest, Geneva, Vilnius and Hannover flights. To Bologna, flights will not only take off four times a week in the afternoon, but also three times a week in the evening. Flight schedules to and from London Heathrow are also optimized in order to offer even better connections with other destinations via Brussels Airport. All flights from and to London are operated from the brand new Queens terminal. Lufthansa – New winter flight schedule From the 26th of October 2014 the new winter flight schedule 2014/15 becomes valid. The new schedule comes along with various benefits for Lufthansa passengers. Due to the change of aircrafts departing from Basel, higher booking capacities can be guaranteed. Eventually more people can fly from Basel via Frankfurt or Munich into the world. Furthermore good news to passengers travelling to Delhi as the flagship A380 will fly to Indians capital this winter. Moreover, the A380 will also fly to Seoul and Los Angeles next year soon. Meanwhile, the retrofitting of Lufthansa’s aircrafts came to an end and the new Business can be experienced on various long-haul flights. The new seat offers a perfect way of travelling as it can be modified into a nearly two meters long sleeping surface. Every two months, renowned chiefs prepare exclusive menus for our passengers. Another highlight is the Welcome Lounge at Frankfurt Airport where Business Class passengers can recover in the comfort zone, vitalize in the bistro area and can refresh themselves in high-quality shower rooms. United Airlines to Add 50 E175 Aircraft to United Express Fleet United Airlines announced the company will amend its existing agreement with regional carrier Shuttle America, to add 50 E175 aircraft. Shuttle America's parent company, Republic Airways Holdings Inc., will determine which of its carriers will operate the new 76-seat aircraft under the United Express brand. United anticipates deliveries will begin in July 2015 and continue through the summer of 2017. E175 Features The E175s will offer 12 seats in United First and 64 seats in United Economy, including 16 extra-legroom United Economy Plus seats. The aircraft also offer more personal space for customers, with wider seats and aisles than other regional aircraft; a power outlet at each United First seat; and large overhead bins that can accommodate standard-size carry-on bags.
