CALL TO HOLY LIVING & PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in
his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is
false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and
vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of
those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.

“Thy Word”
Chorus:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path. (2x)
When I feel afraid and I think I've lost my way,
still you're there right beside me.
Nothing will I fear as long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.
Chorus
I will not forget Your love for me, and yet
my heart forever is wandering.
Jesus, be my guide and hold me to your side,
I will love You to the end.

*OUR CONFESSION OF FAITH and PRAISE
Pastor: Brothers and Sisters, what do you believe is
the power of God that brings salvation from the guilt,
power and condemnation of sin in your life?
Congregation: We are not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God for the salvation of
everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the
Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is
revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
NIV
Romans 1:16-17
Sing: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the
Holy Ghost! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever
shall be, world without end, Amen, Amen.
OUR WORSHIP IN TITHES AND OFFERINGS
With all my resources I have provided for the temple of my
God-- gold for the gold work, silver for the silver, bronze
for the bronze, iron for the iron and wood for the wood, as
well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of various
colors, and all kinds of fine stone and marble-- all of these
in large quantities. NIV 1 Chronicles 29:2

REVEALED TO BABES: CHILDREN IN THE WORSHIP OF
GOD. Please pick up a free reprint (by permission of the
author) of this very important book from the Narthex
table. It is a sound and concise Biblical defense for the
concept that God calls our children to participate with us
in worship. It will give you a sound background to
understand this church’s stance on children and worship
as well as our Household and Mentoring focus! Questions:
See or call Elder Wolf.
THE CHOIR WILL MEET TO PRACTICE for our Christmas
concert at 2:00 p.m. today.
Is Christ’s Church Your Delight?
Please pick up the article on the narthex table entitled
“Delighting in the Church,” by RTS Jackson professor Dr.
Guy Prentiss Waters.
Dr. Waters presents a clear explanation of the importance
of our membership vows to “support the church in its
worship and work to the best of our ability” and to yield
ourselves willingly “to the government and discipline of
the church.” (BCO 57-5)
Members/Family Personal Study Helps
We have made available several NEW resources
available for FREE to the Saints at Coquina Presbyterian
Church to assist them in several very important areas of
their faith and practice. Pick them up in the Narthex or
ask for a pdf copy by email from Elder Wolf.
1) Communicant’s Preparation Guide - Preparing
Children for Communicant Membership. This is also
helpful for adults also as the biblical standards don’t
really change for either group!
2) The Answer Key for the Communicant's
Preparation Guide! (Great for family or even
individual devotionals). This is a great way to
refresh your own understanding of the vows you took
when you became a member—and their importance!
3) Revealed to Babes book by Rev. Richard Bacon.
Why God expects children to participate in worship
with their parents! Not a personally derived
perspective of the author, but evidence from the
Word of God on that subject!
It’s the Holiday
Season Again!
Ahh… the cool breezes are here and
our hearts are in eager anticipation
of this season!
Operation
Christmas Child
Bring in your Boxes
It is a wonderful time of family and
friends reflecting on
the blessings of God. First cherishing His
provision of all good things for us on
thanksgiving—and secondly, taking great
joy in His love shown toward us in the
coming of His one and only begotten Son;
who came and secured salvation for us
giving us eternal live with Him in Heaven!
These are indeed Holy-days! So remember why we
have Thanksgiving and Christmas and
therefore remember to
KEEP THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

when we focus on these two important blessings from God

many boxes as you would like and would like to
donate them please bring in and place in the box in
the narthex. If you have any questions please see
Edie Horner or Darlene Reeves.
How to
Pack a Shoebox
1. Shoebox
Use an empty cardboard or plastic shoebox (average size). You can wrap
the box, lid separately, but wrapping is not required.
2. Boy or Girl
Decide whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the age category: 24, 5-9, or 10-14. 3. Fill With Gifts
Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child (see Gift
Suggestions below).
4. Include $7 Donation Per Box
Help cover shipping and other costs related to delivering your shoeboxes to
children overseas by donating $7 for each gift you prepare. You can give
online to discover the destination of your box. Or, you can write a check
to Samaritan’s Purse (note “OCC” on the memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the items inside your shoebox. If you are preparing multiple gifts, please make one combined donation. Note: Follow Your Box is
only available through online giving.
Remember to Pray for the children who will receive your shoebox gifts.
5. Drop Off at church sometime in November
100 Operation Christmas Child Gift Ideas for a Girl.
Keep in mind that with many of these items, even the more practical ones, you can get
as creative as you’d like. You could decorate a store-bought gift, like ordinary flip-flops.
Or you could make some of the items yourself, like a doll or an apron, for instance. Just
don’t get stressed about what to put in your boxes; pack with love, and know that
this shoebox will be huge blessing for a child who may have never even received a gift!
A few tips to keep in mind: It’s okay to take things out of the packages they came
in. This makes room for more gifts in the box, and it’s more economical because you
can split items up between boxes, or team up with friends who are also packing boxes.
It doesn’t matter if you choose cardboard boxes or plastic storage boxes. Any shoebox will do.
Please don’t send liquids of any kind, as they could leak. Also, no war-related items
(weapons, soldier toys, etc.), expired food/candy, or fragile items.
Keep ages in mind when packing your boxes, especially in regards to safety for the
littlest ones!
