Feast of Christ the King
Multi-Cultural Food Fair
Sunday, November 23 : 8:00am—4:00pm
Many indicated on the survey that they would like to see more
events that would unify the parish. We are planning a mul cultural Food Fair for Sunday, November 23rd. It is the Feast of
Christ the King which calls us to work to establish the Kingdom
of God, a kingdom that is welcoming to all peoples. It is also
intended as a Parish Fund Raiser. Our collec ons have
declined and we are in need of further funding to help support
our various ministries.
Thanksgiving Day 2014
This year for Thanksgiving, Thursday November 27, we will
celebra ng a Bilingual Mass at 9:00am. All are invited to celebrate together. You are asked to please bring food ar cles to
be donated to Pan de Vida to be shared with those who are in
need. You will be invited to place this food in the open sanctuary behind the altar at the me of the Presenta on of Gi s. A
basket will also be there if you wish to make a monetary donaon to the needy.
There will also be tables provided to the right of the sanctuary
for those of you who wish to have food blessed for your
Thanksgiving Meal. This food should be le before Mass with
your name wri en on it and can be picked up at the end of the
Mass.

Charity Breakfast
Join the Knights of Columbus , 21433 Strathern St., Canoga

We thank all of the 2013-2014 members of Club St. Jane
Frances. We were able to raise over $3,500 this past year and
are presently selling memberships for the coming year. The
first drawing for the new year will be held at the Mul -Cultural
Food Fair on Sunday, November 23. Memberships ckets costs

THE BREAD OF LIFE (PAN DE VIDA) APOSTOLATE
The “Pan de Vida” apostolate cordially invites you to support us by donating any type of non-perishable food such
as:
-Pastas -Rice -Beans -Instant Soup -Coffee
-Peanut Butter -Oatmeal -Cereal -Cooking Oil
-Mayonnaise
-Saltine Crackers -Sugar -Juices
-Strawberry Jam
And any other type of canned foods. No clothing donations will be accepted. All of these donations will be utilized to help families in need that live in our area. If you
would like to make a financial donation, please bring donations to the parish office. The group serves the
most neediest in our Parish every other Saturday,
from 12:00-1:00pm in the La Hart Hall (Gym).

Counseling: individual, couple and family therapy for adults
and children.
School Counseling: counseling, groups, education sessions and
consultations, with a therapist on campus one day per week.
Victims of Domestic Violence Programs: Case management,
support groups, and therapy for children and adults who are
victims and witness of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Anger Management: court-approved classes for perpetrators
of abuse and those dealing with anger.
Parent Education: instruction on child development and positive discipline techniques.
The Learning Center: after school tutoring and enrichment for
at-risk youth.

Muchos indicaron en la encuesta que les gustaría ver más
eventos que unifiquen la parroquia. Estamos planeando una
kermes mul -cultural para el domingo 23 de noviembre. Es la
fiesta de Cristo Rey, que nos llama a trabajar para establecer el
Reino de Dios, un reino que da la bienvenida a todos los pueblos. También se piensa como a recaudar fondos para la parroquia. Nuestras colecciones han bajado y estamos en necesidad de más fondos para ayudar a apoyar nuestros diferentes
ministerios.
Día de Acción de Gracias 2014
Este año para la celebración del Día de Acción de Gracias, jueves el 27 de noviembre, se celebrará una Misa bilingüe a las
9:00am. Todos están invitados a celebrar juntos. Se le pide
que, por favor , traiga alimentos que serán donados a Pan de
Vida para ser compar do con los necesitados. Ustedes serán
invitados a colocar los alimentos en el santuario detrás del
altar en el momento de la Presentación de las Ofrendas. También habrá una canasta para los que quieren dejar un limosna
para los necesitados.
También, una mesa aparte se proporcionara a la derecho del
santuario para los que quieren la bendición de los alimentos
para su cena de Acción de Gracias. Se puede dejar los alimentos (con su nombre) en la mesa proporcionadas antes de la
Misa. Su puede recoger los alimentos terminando la Misa.

St. Jane Frances de Chantal es un ministerio que atiende
el llamado de Cristo Jesús, por medio de la caridad hacia
nuestro prójimo. El todo tipo de comestibles y alimentos
como:
-Pastas -Arroz -Frijoles - Sopas Instantáneas-Azucar Avena -Galletas Saltinas -Cajas de Cereal -Jugos
-Peanut Butter -Mayonesa -Café -Aceite para Cocinar Mermelada de Fresa
Y cualquier otro tipo de alimento en lata. No aceptamos
donaciones de ropa. Todos estos medios van a ser utilizados y almacenados para la ayuda de proporcionando alimentos y ropa a todos nuestros hermanos y hermanas

Club de Saint Jane Frances 2014-2015
Agradecemos a todos la 2013-2014 miembro del Club de Saint

el año pasado. Y actualmente estamos vendiendo boletas de
