Cosmopolitan Club.. 11.00am - 4.30pm Some of you may remember the skits we did last year at the Cossie Club. Well, it’s that time again and we are organizing some fun songs again for ours this year. I am looking for some ladies and men who want to come on stage with walking sticks & walkers and if there is someone who is game for a laugh to come on smiling without their false teeth. We aim to have fun. And for those who don’t participate we may ask to borrow props once we know what they are. We aim to have fun and would love you all to come and support us and cheer us on. From The President’s Pen Welcome to FCCMC November open day, and a special welcome to any visitors here today. Today promises to be a most exciting day with our annual duos contest taking place. We are very grateful to Renny & Jenny Hantler who are with us today to judge the competition. In addition they will be performing for us during the afternoon. I am only sorry I am unable to be with you today. Thanks to Wainoa for filling in as Lead Guitarist. With the festive season rapidly approaching there is a couple of things I wish to bring to members attention. Please also note there will be no practices in December, but there will be a club day in January. FCCMC Christmas Function at the RSA… Saturday 6th December 2014 Members wishing to be present at the annual Christmas dinner are to pass their names to Glenda so that we can ascertain catering numbers for the restaurant. As usual, a subsidy of $10.00 per person will be given to financial members in the form of a gift card to be presented at the restaurant when ordering. This will be deducted from your order at the time. We ask that members bring along a suitable gift to the value of $5.00 to place into a basket, so that we can share with other members on the evening… Band will be in attendance later in the evening after the meal, so bring along your chord charts and enjoy yourselves. Guest Artists for November Club Day.. Jenny & Renny Hantler. Life members of Morrinsville Country Music Club, Renny was raised in Hawkes Bay and Jenny in Canterbury. They met through country music, married and lived in Napier before moving to Christchurch in the early 1980s. Renny was a member of the well known Laredo Showband touring with Patsy Riggir. In 1994 they moved to Hamilton with their three children and shortly afterwards joined the Morrinsville Country Music Club. They are both award-winners in their own right and are regularly invited to entertain. They have performed at the Paihia Country Rock Festival for several years and, after much encouragement, released their own family CD. “The Hantler Family” It displays the talents of them all collectively and as individuals. Renny and Jenny’s performance will leave you spellbound.
